In the center of Italy, in Tuscany, in the Commune of Montepulciano, in the province of Siena just halfway between Florence and Rome, the restoration of a farmhouse, built in 1878 has permitted us to make 4 charming suites and a nice dependance.

The estate is considered today to be of historical interest for its vaulted brick ceiling and beautiful arches.

The suites are completely hand decorated and embellished by trompe l'oeil. You will find a polished and exclusive atmosphere.

The Le Manzinaie also provides you with a parking area, an open pool, a large garden, barbecue and oven for pizza parties.

The region is rich in history and culture especially due to the medieval villages nearby. You can experience all of this and more as the area offers many activities for different interest:

  • The famous wines of Montepulciano and Montalcino
  • You can reach nearby towns like Cortona, Pienza and Montalcino
  • The archeological treasures of the Etruscan villages of Chiusi, Sarteano, Chianciano and their museums
  • The Spa of Bagno Vignoni, Chianciano Terme, S.Albino di Montepulciano and Rapolano Terme

Le Manzinaie offers 4 suites all provided with independent entrance, kitchen equipped with a microwave oven and accessories, bathroom with Jacuzzi, hydro massage tub, shower, bath and hairdryer, satellite TV, phone, safe and independent heating.

Also one detached dependance on 2 floors:

The ground floor features a dining room and kitchen equipped of microwave oven and accessories; one matrimonial bedroom with over head ceiling fans or (at request), 2 separate beds; one bathroom with "Jacuzzi", hydro massage tub and hair dryer.

On the first floor there is one matrimonial bedroom with over head ceiling fans and tester bed; one bathroom with hydro massage shower and hair dryer. Satellite TV, telephone, safe deposit, independent heating and private garden.

The suites and the little house are completely hand decorated and embellished by trompe l'oeil.

We also have a wide decorated sitting room called "Limoni" (Lemons) which has a fireplace. This room is usually used for special dinners when we all gather together to have some fun.

Our rooms have Internet access.

It’s possible to find many precious pieces of antiquarian art and beautiful local craftsmanship.

Bagno Vignoni:

A medieval village, a spa town with a very particular town square, actually a huge “bath” of hot spring water.

About Montepulciano:

Montepulciano is a lovely village known as “The pearl of the 16th century” (la Perla del ‘500) because of its several architectural features dating back to renaissance time, and for its wine “Nobile di Montepulciano” that is famous all over the world.

Montepulciano, is built along a narrow limestone ridge and at 605 m (1,950 ft) above sea level. The town is encircled by walls and fortifications designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder in 1511 for Cosimo I. Inside the walls the streets are crammed with Renaissance-style palazzi and churches, but the town is chiefly known for its good local Vino Nobile wines. A long, winding street called the Corso climbs up into the main square, which crowns the summit of the hill.

In July-August there is Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte, an arts festival created by the German composer Hans Werner Henze. In August there are two festivals: the Bruscello takes place on the 14th, 15th and 16th, when hordes of actors reenact scenes from the town's turbulent history. For the Bravio delle Botti, on the last Sunday in August, there is a parade through the streets followed by a barrel race and a banquet to end the day.
