Inn & About Salisbury House:
We have been offering gracious accommodations at a
reasonable rate to discerning travelers since 1985. Salisbury House,
built in 1904, has housed some of Seattle's premier families, it has
been renovated carefully to maintain the historic flavor while providing
modern comforts.
Mornings here usually start with coffee and the New York
Times in front of the library fireplace. Breakfasts are served in the
sunny dining room and feature fresh baked cakes and muffins, special
quiches or pancakes, fresh fruit, coffee or tea. We know our city well
and love to share ideas on how to make your visit enjoyable. We've been
featured in Fodors, Frommers, National Geographic Traveler, Best Places
to Kiss, and other national publications.
We are situated on a tree-lined street on Capitol Hill
in one of Seattle's most desirable neighborhoods. Take a walking tour of
the neighborhood mansions, and stroll Volunteer Park, home of the
Seattle Asian Art Museum. Interesting shops and restaurants are nearby,
and the bus to downtown stops on the next block. With Seattle's
excellent transit system a car isn't necessary, but parking is readily
available and free.
