Policy: |
If cancellation is
received a minimum of 21 days prior to our guest's scheduled date of
arrival, there is a $65 cancellation fee, and the remaining balance is
credited back to our guest via company check. 20 to 15 days forfeits the
booking deposit*. 14 days or less forfeits the entire rental amount*.
*Unless the vacation property can be re-booked for the entire
duration and at the same nightly rental rate, in which case only the $65
cancellation fee applies.

a delightful alternative to the traditional Mt. Baker area bed and
breakfast or country inn.
We proudly offer private, self-catered, fully equipped Mt. Baker area
cabins, cottages, condos, chalets, and executive vacation home rental
accommodations, located in the mountain villages of Glacier and Maple
Falls, at the magnificent gateway to the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National
Forest, and the adjacent Mount Baker Ski Area!
Chalet 7 is a prime example of one of the many fine holiday
properties featured in the Mt. Baker Lodging vacation rental program.
This 3 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath executive cedar chalet includes a large
wraparound deck with a glass atrium covered hot tub and an outdoor gas
grill. Inside, you'll be delighted with the fully equipped gourmet
kitchen, the open and airy living room with a stone hearth fireplace
(firewood provided) and the generous master suite. Try your skill at
billiards in the 1st floor game room. This remarkable vacation home will
comfortably sleep up to six persons, (maximum occupancy) and truly
offers something for everyone!
The Mount Baker Recreation Area is a year-round playground! Summer
guests enjoy great hiking, mountain biking, mountain climbing, rock
climbing, backpacking, freshwater fishing (lake and river), small game
hunting, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, nature
viewing, tennis, and golf. Winter guests enjoy spectacular downhill and
cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and
sledding. Don't forget your camera... the photography is unsurpassed
year-round!

Hiking:
View the gorgeous scenery at your own pace. Mt. Baker hosts
multiple hiking trails, from easy stretches to "experienced
only" trekking. The Pacific Crest trail goes right through the
Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie Forest. The Mt. Baker Hiking Club offers guided
hikes or just to meet fellow hikers!
White Water Rafting:
Alpine Adventures and Mt. Baker Lodging proudly presents rafting
packages per person which include one night's stay and rafting trip
(with meal) down the Nooksak River!
Wild Plant Walkabouts:
With miles of hiking trails, streams and exquisite views, hundreds
of species of flowering plants, trees and ferns in varying ecosystems
will delight and educate families and groups to the bounty of nature.
Suzanne Nagler Harris, your guide, is a naturalist, herbalist,
wildcrafter and director of herbal studies at the Cedar Mountian Herb
School. She will open your eyes to wild edible and medicinal plants
from the deepest root to the tallest tree. Stand in awe as you gaze at
some of the few remaining old growth trees in the Mt. Baker
Recreational Area. Become more "at home in the woods" as you

Skiing - Snowboarding - Snow shoeing:
With record snow falls up to 1100 inches in one season, Mount Baker
has the world record for snowfall. Come check out our slopes and
trails for the best powder!
Swimming:
Nothing is better in hot weather than cooling off with a swim.
Several of our homes have access to community pools or you can go to
the public pools or visit Silver Lake Park. Make a splash!

We are blessed with some of the best dining in Whatcom county in
our area! Enjoy excellent meals in a relaxing atmosphere.

Fishing:
The Nooksack river is one of the last "wild" rivers in
Washington state. Five species of wild salmon swim and flourish is

Is there anything more luxurious than a therapeutic massage after a
day of hiking or skiing?
We don't think so! We're happy to offer our guests the opportunity
to have a Washington State licensed massage therapist come to your
vacation property and give you a massage. All you need to do is let us
know when you would like this service, we'll handle the rest and bill
your account.
Catering:
Are you planning a special event during your stay in one of our
vacation properties?
We'd be happy to assist you with catering services in our area. Our
caterers have been personally selected, come with the highest
recommendations, and provide outstanding service!

The walks will be 2 hours in length; location will vary within the
Mount Baker Recreation Area according to group's or individual's
mobility needs and preferences. Days and times of walkabouts are

Additional Information About Your Stay:
Designated Maximum Occupancy Limits are strictly enforced. Guests
found in violation are subject to immediate eviction with complete
forfeiture of all rental monies paid. So please call us if you have any
changes with the number of your group.
There is no cell phone reception in our mountain area. This is why it
is so important to distribute the enclosed materials of your
confirmation email (i.e. maps and directions) to all members of your
party!
There is no TV reception in our mountain area, so feel free to bring
(VHS) videos. They also can be rented locally.
Due to local Health Department regulations regarding product
tampering, we are unable to provide any form of “food product
consumables” This includes spices (eg. Salt, pepper, coffee, etc.) and
condiments. You’ll want to bring these items with you.
“Basic Cabin Cookware” and utensils are provided, appropriate to
the designated occupancy limits of the vacation property. Specialty /
holiday cookware is not provided. However, you are most welcome to bring
your own.
Bed & bath linens are provided, appropriate to the designated
occupancy limits of the vacation property. When your supply of bath
linens is exhausted, please feel free to use the washer & dryer
provided as part of your rental.* Additional linens including beach
towels are not available.
A “starter supply” of laundry detergent*, dish soap, dishwashing
detergent*, liquid hand soap, bath soap, toilet paper, & paper
towels are provided four your convenience. If your stay is extended, or
you just have a propensity for going through a lot of a given item,
you’ll want to bring additional supplies with you.
*in vacation properties thusly equipped.
Due to Fire Department regulations regarding child safety we are
unable to provide matches and candles in our vacation properties.
If your vacation property is hot tub equipped, there will be a cable
/ chain or locking door for child safety. The key is either located on a
stick on top of the refrigerator, or on your key ring for the property.
Please remember to re-secure the lid or door when you are done!
Due to local health department regulations, hot tubs are pre-set to
operate between 98E and 102E.
This may be a bit too cool or too hot (but the baby bear thinks
it’s just right!) for some folks, but is a situation under which we
have no control.
Pets are permitted only in vacation properties that are specifically
designated as pet-friendly. Pets found at vacation properties that are
not “pet-friendly” will subject the guest(s) to immediate eviction,
with complete forfeiture of all rental monies paid, plus a cleaning
charge will automatically be assessed to the guest’s credit card.
All vacation properties are non-smoking! Ash urns are provided at
exterior door entrances of all vacation properties. Properties found to
have been smoked in will subject the guest(s) to an immediate cleaning
charge assessed to the guest’s credit card.
Directions:
Our office is located at 7463 Mt. Baker Highway, in the town of Maple
Falls, about 0.5 miles east of Mile Marker 25. We are on the right side
of the road, in a brown building, right next to Mountain Man Coffee.
Hours: 9am - 5pm Pacific Time, 7 days per week except holidays.
If You Are Coming From Seattle, Washington:
Proceed north on Interstate 5 to exit 255 (Sunset Drive - Mt. Baker
Highway) in Bellingham, WA. (approximately 80miles north of Seattle).
At the end of the off ramp, turn right, heading east on Mt Baker Hwy
542 to our office in Maple Falls.
Driving time: approximately 2 hours.
If You Are Coming From Vancouver, British Columbia:
Proceed south on Highway 99 to the Canada/USA border. Then take
Interstate 5 south to exit 255. (at Bellingham, approx. 20 miles) Turn
left at the end of the off ramp and proceed east on Sunset Drive/Mt.
Baker Highway, direct to our office.
Driving time: approximately 1½ hours.
