Welcome to the English Tudor View Bed and Breakfast!
We're only 7 minutes from downtown Seattle!
I'm JoAnn Schenck, host of the English Tudor View Bed
and Breakfast.
It has been said that "our visitors are served on a
silver platter." Well, that's not an over statement! Our motto here
at the English Tudor View, "We Aim to Please," says it all.
From the elegant decor of the two comfy and spacious rooms with king and
queen beds, to our lovely living and dining areas and scrumptious
breakfasts, the English Tudor View Bed & Breakfast is a cozy,
home-like retreat from the busy life of business or sightseeing.
Our location is ideal too! Mercer Island, on beautiful
Lake Washington, is just seven minutes from downtown Seattle and five
minutes from the center of Bellevue, so for those visiting the Space
Needle or meeting with "Bill" at Microsoft, you will never
have a long trip to your local destination. Whether it's a visit to
Seattle's famous Pike Place Market, a ferry ride on the Puget Sound, a
day trip to Canada to the beautiful Butchart Gardens via the Victoria
Clipper, or any number of sightseeing tours in this culturally rich part
of the world, you will find your stay here convenient. Mercer Island's
exclusive atmosphere of lush scenery and beautiful parks will leave you
with much recreational activity and more rest than you could imagine.
With tennis and basketball courts, barbecue pits and picnic areas,
walking and biking trails, and soccer and baseball fields, Mercer's
"Lid Park" is just a block away! Public beaches, boat and
kayak rentals, and all sorts of water sports can be indulged here on
Mercer Island.
Your view from the northwest side of Mercer Island is
simply spectacular. A panoramic view of both the Cascade and Olympic
mountain ranges serve as a backdrop to the cityscapes of Bellevue and
Seattle. And the shimmering blue waters of Lake Washington afford a
tranquil and relaxed sensation!
And, I must say, I am very proud of English Tudor View's
garden area, a view of which you have from the wonderful Rose Room. Many
guests, after a long day of activities and sightseeing enjoy a peaceful
stroll through my plush, verdant garden, with its colorful and scented
floral exhibitions. The Bed and Breakfast is replete throughout with
floral arrangements from the garden, except, of course, in Winter, when
a roaring fire in the living room toasts your chilly toes and nose.
Bert and I have lived here on Mercer Island for close to
30 years now. We love how the Island fits our lifestyle and
personalities, as does our Bed and Breakfast. We started our business
with the idea of sharing our special world with guests wanting to
experience something unique and special when in the Pacific Northwest.
So, if you are planning a business or vacation trip to Seattle, go ahead
and view what we have to offer here on our web site, and then call
toll-free for your reservations or use our online reservations request
form. You will love what we have to share with you, and you, like many
others, will not make your first stay with us your last!
