Cancellation Policy: Refunds of advanced deposits, less a $20 administration fee, will be made if cancellation is made more than 14 days prior to your confirmed arrival (30 days for holiday periods such as fall foliage, Christmas week, New Year's week, Martin Luther King weekend, President's week, 4th of July weekend, & special events weekends). If you cancel your reservation within the required 14 or 30 day period prior to arrival, your advanced deposit is non-refundable. Pre-purchased packages are non-refundable. Your deposit confirms your entire reservation. Parties that shorten their stay or do not show for their reservation are responsible for the entire period that they reserved. Rates are quoted in U.S. dollars. Listed rates are subject to change. During fall foliage, holidays and peak weekends minimum stays are requested. No credit or refund will be made for early departures.

In addition to being the quintessential New England town oozing history around every corner, it is also an outdoor lovers' paradise. The majestic Green Mountains are just moments away offering every outdoor activity imaginable from in-line skating to fly fishing.

There's something for everyone whether you like to hike, bike, golf, ski, skate, explore the countryside of Vermont, poke around in antique shops, watch a play, listen to an outdoor concert, visit the haunted covered bridge or sample some local painting and sculptures. The bed and breakfast inn is happy to provide you with one of our special guides to get you started. The Inn has nine charming and well appointed non-smoking guest rooms.

They fall into four distinct categories:

  • Traditional Fireplace & Whirlpool Room
  • Deluxe Room
  • Parlor Fireplace & Whirlpool Room
  • Standard Room

Each room offers its own unique character and a hint of romance.

Each room is individually decorated in decor with carefully selected antique furnishings, wide plank floors, and country quilts. All rooms are non-smoking, as is the entire inn. Individual heat and air conditioning add modern comfort of this authentic atmosphere.

Traditional Fireplace - Whirlpool Rooms:

Traditional Fireplace - Whirlpool Rooms feature a queen size bed and look out on spectacular mountain views. Real brick fireplaces in the ample bed chambers and a whirlpool tub in their private bathrooms. A popular choice among couples looking for a little sanctuary within this intimate inn. There are three traditional fireplace rooms within the inn.

Deluxe Room:

The Deluxe Room offers two queen beds, spacious bed chambers, and a private bathroom which adds luxury to these accommodations. There is one deluxe room within the inn.

Parlor Fireplace & Whirlpool Rooms:

Parlor Fireplace & Whirlpool Rooms feature mountain views, a queen bed, and spacious bed chambers. Also a whirlpool tub in their private bathrooms which adds luxury to these accommodations. In addition, these rooms have a Vermont made gas parlor fireplace. These rooms are preferred by those seeking space and or the soothing whirlpool tub and cozy fireplace.

Standard Rooms:

Standard Rooms have a queen bed and a private bath. Even at this small inn your choice of bed configurations in one room is possible. Each room has its own identity and are preferred by people who wish for simplicity. There are two standard rooms within the inn.

Common Areas:

The Brass Lantern Inn Bed and Breakfast has comfortable and inviting common areas, in addition to its accommodating guest rooms. Not limited in size or quantity, you'll find a deck with hot tub, sun porch, large dining room, living room with fireplace, a patio and foyer.

The living room has the same spectacular views of the mountains with two sitting areas furnished with extremely comfortable sofas and wing chairs. Curl up with a book from the eclectic library and its unique collection, or sit by the glowing fireplace. Write letters to friends from the desk with inspiring views directly in front of you.

The second sitting area has hidden away in an antique armoire a television, DVD player, stereo, and CD player.

Spectacular mountain views can been seen from our outdoor deck with hot tub which is used year around.

The Inn's spacious patio with its afternoon sun and spectacular sunsets is a great respite from your day's activities. Umbrella tables and refreshments let you recharge for your evening in or out.

Early risers may help themselves to coffee. The sun porch, with its wicker and plants is a perfect place to enjoy the early sun and morning paper.

In the dining room - breakfast room - you'll find individual antique oak tables. Most tables offer views of the mountains, inspiring you to come out and experience all Stowe has to offer.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is a truly enjoyable experience at the Inn. A full Vermont Country breakfast is served each morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Special diets and early risers can be accommodated with a prior days notice. A light breakfast is also available upon prior request. Samples of breakfast are, fresh blueberry pancakes, Farmer's egg omelet with Vermont cheddar cheese, French toast with yogurt parfait. All breakfast include, orange juice, fresh fruit, a breakfast meat, and the baked goods. A wide choice of teas and rich mountain coffee is available to enjoy with your breakfast.

Creative, Fresh Meals:

The Inn participates in the "Vermont Farm Fresh Network," a cooperative network of quality Vermont producers and farmers with successful Vermont chefs serving creative and imaginative cuisine.

Afternoon Tea:

Afternoon tea is available to the guests of the Inn. As many as a dozen different teas with fresh baked cookies or pastries are available every afternoon. During the warmer seasons in addition to tea, lemonade or ice tea is also served.

Dining Out:

Check out the menus of over three dozen restaurants or ask for suggestions for your evening meal. The choices are endless. From highly recognized innovative cuisine, using fresh Vermont game and ingredients, to fine award winning Italian cuisine or even a Vermont style pub with Vermont micro brews and hearty fare are some of the possibilities. You'll also find, Swiss, English, Mexican, American, and more.   • Take the VT-100 exit 10 and turn right
  • Continue on VT-100 for approx 10 miles
