Come stay awhile and relax in this tranquil setting. Belle Reve, our 1843 Greek Revival farmhouse, is picturesquely situated on the west bank of the Delaware River in the village of Riverton, Pennsylvania.

Whether you are relaxing in our riverfront gazebo or discovering nearby Belvidere, NJ, this charming historical private residence has been lovingly restored to offer you a gracious retreat to a simpler time.

You can spend the night in one of our riverview bedrooms or host a special family or business function in one of our spacious parlors or gardens.

Our History:

Belle Reve was built in 1840 by John Ludwig Beck for his future bride, Mary.

Her family gave them $10,000 to build this 6,000 sq. ft., 16 room home on the banks of the Delaware River at the foot of the Belvidere bridge. The inn was restored/remodeled in 1985.

Walk across the bridge (or take your bicycle across) and discover historic Belvidere. Pretty as a picture postcard, this tiny town is a serene and peaceful blend of finely maintained Colonial and Victorian mansions on well kept, tree lined streets.

There is so much to do in this area and we will be glad to give suggestions, directions and available brochures while you are here.

For example, you might want to walk the beautiful public hiking trail that is just a short walking distance from Belle Reve Bed and Breakfast.

The variety of activities is tremendous, too. Even New York City is less than 1½ hours drive from here - an easy day trip.

Directions:

From New York and New Jersey:

• Route 80 W to Hope/Blairstown Exit 12.
• Make a left to 512/519 South.
• Go straight thru blinking light in Hope, NJ.
• Follow 519 approximately eight miles to Route 46.
• Make a right at the light and proceed 1½ miles to the Belvidere exit on your left.
• Continue 2¼ mile, across the trestle bridge.
• The inn is on the left at the foot of the bridge in the village of Riverton.

From Pennsylvania:

• Route 80 E to Hope/Blairstown Exit 12.
• Make right onto 512/519.
• Follow the directions above.

From Philadelphia:

• Take Route 611 North (Broad St.) through Easton to Martins Creek, PA.
• At traffic light, turn right.
• Proceed straight past the church at the top of the hill, leaving 611.
• Continue straight 6 miles on Martin Creek/Belvidere Road.
• The inn is on your right at the foot of the bridge in the village of Riverton.
