803 Elizabeth is a small friendly bed and breakfast in Matthews NC just ten miles southeast of downtown Charlotte and all of its attractions.

The home, built in 1962 is situated on five acres in a residential neighborhood. Our Bed & Breakfast offers a peaceful respite with the exception of the occasional crowing of the rooster. There are porches, a large common sunroom and a parlor for reading or relaxing. Many family antiques furnish the bed and breakfast in a very homelike atmosphere.

Much of the 5 acres is wooded, but the house is surrounded with beautiful gardens that include fruits, flowers and many different shrubs and trees. Seasonal gardens of roses, flowers, herbs, vegetables and fruits surround the spacious home.

Will is an avid rose gardener while Martha is a former master gardener who specializes in herbs and perennials.

The property was designated in 1999 as a Back Yard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.

Check-in is after 2PM and check-out is 11 AM, but special arrangements can be made to accommodate your schedule. Just ask!

Please note, we are closed the last two weeks in November and December and the innkeepers have one cat.

Breakfast:

A delicious continental breakfast with homemade muffins or bread, juice, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee or tea is offered for your enjoyment. Breakfast is served from as early as you like up to 9:30 AM.

Rooms:

Our owner occupied home offers two rooms with private baths and a third room available for parties of two or more willing to share a bath.

All of the rooms are tastefully decorated with family antiques and a homelike atmosphere.

Cut flowers from the garden and fresh linens welcome you in each of the bedrooms. For your convenience a fax machine and line for a modem are available.

A covered deck and sunroom are accessible from all of the bedrooms.
