ferns, plus a romantic porch swing.
A warm and friendly atmosphere with gracious hospitality
awaits you.
From the moment you awaken to the wonderful aroma of
breakfast until those last quiet moments you spend in your favorite
rocker on the veranda - your stay will be filled with all the pleasures
that Cape May offers!
The inn was commissioned to be built in 1867 by S. A.
Harrison as a family summer vacation cottage. It was designed and built
in the Italianate style, complete with cupola, by the renowned
architect, Stephen Decatur Button.
After being retained as a private summer residence in
the late 1800's and early 1900's, the cottage then served as a
restaurant and guest house for many years.
We are conveniently located in the Historic District on
a quiet, tree lined street-one block from the beach and the Victorian
Mall, close to many fine restaurants and shops in the midst of quaint
Victorian architecture.
Enjoy walking and biking to the antique shops, art
galleries, the restored Physick Estate, take a trolley tour, a
historical walking tour, or view the interiors of several Victorian
homes open to the public.
Come and be our guest... enjoy beautiful Cape May, the
nation's oldest seashore resort and historic landmark site, while
vacationing in an authentic
Victorian summer cottage.
