Glen Oaks Inn is located in the heart of the Mt. Washington Valley
and offers unparalleled opportunities to savor all that is New England.
The century old Victorian architecture is enhanced by the beautifully
restored antique furniture and the old fashioned charm of the hosts.
Make yourself comfortable by the fireside or on the sunny porch where
guests gather to share the day's experiences. Enjoy afternoon
refreshments while staying in one of our guest rooms that have been
lovingly furnished with antiques and country treasures.
Glen Oaks Inn offers you a peaceful spot to relax at the end of the
day. Beautiful woods, snow capped peaks and flaming fall foliage are all
part of the package!
Complementing our 8 room inn are our 3 cozy cottage rooms. Each
cottage room offers fireplaces, CD players and added privacy for all
romantics. Each room has cable TV/VCR and refrigerators are available in
the cottage rooms.
The village of Intervale is perfectly positioned between the towns of
Jackson and North Conway. This means that shopping, dining, White
Mountain attractions, four major ski areas and, of course, the National
Forest are all minutes away.

History:
Glen Oaks Inn bears the distinction of having continually been a
haven for travelers since it first opened in 1890. During its lifetime,
the inn was known by different names.
Part of the building, built in the 1830's, was located next door and
operated as a general store for a time. It was moved to its present site
in the late 1880's by Daniel Carlton, who then made extensive additions
and opened it as The Forest in 1890.
The turn-of-the century stone cottage was originally an office for
one of the area's first woman lawyers, Marion W. Cottle. Today,
honeymooners find the cozy cottage just right for a romantic interlude.
