Topliff’s Tara, our 50 acre llama farm, is located in
rural Ingham County, within easy driving distance of charming downtown
Williamston, numerous antique shops, Michigan State University,
Michigan’s capital city of Lansing, golf courses, shopping and fine
dining.
The bed & breakfast is located in the 1905 farm
house portion of this grand country home.
Visitors can enjoy the quiet country charm by strolling
through the perennial gardens or visiting our woolly llamas in the big
red barns and nearby pastures.
In the winter guests can cross country ski across wooded
paths, and in warmer weather may be able to hike with a llama (depending
on the availability of the innkeepers).
In addition to the bedrooms, guests can relax in the
living room where they will find a television and VCR, music, and a gas
log stove. There are plenty of videos, reading materials and jigsaw
puzzles for guests to enjoy.
The kitchen is available for limited use by guests and
there are several eating areas on the first floor. An open porch offers
an inviting place for summer reading or relaxing.
Rooms:
Botanical Dreams:
This room has a full size bed and is located next to
the first floor bathroom. This room reflects our love of gardening. If
you are visiting in the summer, please note that this room is not air
conditioned.
Musical Notes:
To celebrate our love of music, this bedroom is
completed in a musical theme. The antique brass twin beds have been
joined to form a King size bed. This room shares the “Bird
Bathroom” with the guests from the Grandma’s Quilts bedroom.
Grandma's Quilts:
This room features quilts. It has antique four-poster
twin beds and a matching walnut wash stand which has a sink with
running water. This convenience was added for guests who are sharing a
bathroom with the Musical Notes guests.
The Spinning Loft:
Our passion for llama fiber is reflected in this
bedroom where guests will find a spinning wheel located in the
bathroom loft! This room has its own private bathroom and has a queen
size bed. In-room TV and VCR.
Attic Treasures:
This is our premier suite. It features hand crafted
bedroom furniture and a whirlpool tub. This room with its king size
bed and single pull-out sofa can accommodate up to three guests.
In-room TV and VCR.
