Suites:
Two suites are available. The first reproduces the
serenity of the north woods as a replica of the inside of a log cabin.
It includes a stone-mantle gas fireplace, viewed from either the
two-person Jacuzzi or the comfort of the bedroom.
The second suite features the same amenities but is
decorated in the flair of the late 19th century. One room sports a hand
painted mural that transforms the room into a canopied tree loft 68 feet
high in the treetops and is complemented by a gas fireplace. In every
detail it is clear that care has been taken to provide an environment
ideal for unwinding and relaxing.
Log Cabin Suite:
This spacious room emits sights and smells of the
great pine forests, with round log walls, planked ceilings and sanded
floors. The bedroom area and attached living room area is decorated
with mission style furniture, oriental rugs and framed hand colored
plat maps of Saugatuck & Douglas from 1913. There is a
double-sided gas fieldstone fireplace which faces the bedroom area and
the other side faces the 125 gallon Jacuzzi. There is also a wet bar
with refrigerator and sink & a separate bath and shower.
Victorian Suite:
Decorated in the flair of the late 19th century, this
expansive suite is complete with a Queen-size bed facing a slate-stone
gas fireplace and hardwood maple mantel, along with a comfortable
sitting area with couch and cozy wing chair. Oriental rugs and
eye-catching artwork add finishing touches. The bathroom off this
suite sports a Spanish-tiled, two-person 125 Jacuzzi; wet bar complete
with sink and refrigerator; and separate shower area.

full-size bed with antique iron head and foot board. It is decorated
in Laura Ashley with a John F. Kennedy rocking chair alongside a
beautiful oriental rug. There is a private bathroom with shower.
Tree Tops Room:
One of Sherwood Forest's most creative rooms! It
boasts a professionally hand painted mural covering the entire room,
transforming the space into a canopied loft raised high up in the tree
tops surrounded by woods. This room is complemented by an oak-mantel
gas fireplace and private bathroom with shower.
Black and White Room:

features a Queen-size bed with mahogany headboard, antique armoire,
Oriental rug, two-person sitting area, and has a view of the
surrounding woods. The private bathroom includes a large Jacuzzi.

intimate, group or family getaways. It houses two bedrooms,

Breakfast:
Breakfast is served each morning featuring such
favorites as blueberry coffeecake, cinnamon-orange French toast, or
potato quiche.
Pool:
The hippest pool on the planet!
Hand painted by the world famous muralist Conrad Kaufman
from Kalamazoo. Swim in the heated pool, adorned with a spectacular
mural of a sunken Greek ship embedded in a coral reef, surrounded by
amphora vessels and a rainbow of tropical fish.
The Seasons:
In the springtime, use Sherwood Forest's bicycles to
explore the scenic lakeshore or for a short ride into charming
Saugatuck/Douglas. Nearby wooded dunes also offer great hiking paths to
enjoy Mother Nature as she awakens and sends out her welcoming chorus of
flowers and scents.
In the fall, just outside your window, watch the Beech,
Sugar Maple, and Sassafras trees paint a colorful picture for your
viewing pleasure.
In the winter, cross-country ski through the dunes
overlooking Lake Michigan, sled the golf course hills, or perhaps just
enjoy some much-needed down time with a good book, a warm Jacuzzi, and a
cozy fireplace.
All year-round, enjoy the many shopping and fine dining
experiences in Saugatuck and Douglas.
