The Carroll House is a beautifully restored 1870 farmhouse located in
the thumb region of Michigan.
The Carroll House is just a five minute walk to beautiful Lake Huron
and the Lexington Marina; or a five minute walk into the town of
Lexington where there are many unique shops and restaurants. Other
additional area activities are: biking trails, free summer concerts, the
famous Croswell Swinging Bridge, antique shopping, art and craft fairs,
apple picking and Christmas tree cutting with sleigh rides.
Your stay includes a hearty breakfast every morning; fresh fruit,
homemade coffee cake, great egg strata’s or French toast with powdered
sugar are examples of some of the morning’s fresh starts. We welcome
you to our breakfast table. Cold bottled water is available 24 hours a
day and many afternoons will include fresh baked cookies or other
homemade treats. Certain times throughout the year we will offer dinner
packages that will include two dinners for an additional charge. You may
also consider a visit from our local massage therapist to make your stay
a spa like adventure. Let us know if you are considering a fishing boat
or sailing charter. We would be most happy to assist you.
Innkeepers Phil and Heidi Carroll pride themselves on the inn’s
casual, comfortable and friendly atmosphere; this is our home, and we
want you to feel at home while you are here! We will be happy to supply
you with area maps and directions, make dinner reservations or anything
you might need to make the most of your visit.
We look forward to meeting you.
Rooms:
Southwest Room:
Wake up to a beautiful sunrise over Lake Huron!
This large room is located on the second floor of the house and is
decorated in soft hues of cream, blue and taupe. There are southwest
prints surrounding the room that add more color and character. The
room includes a queen size bed, large dresser and its own private
bathroom. Complimentary robes are also included for your stay. In the
winter months you can see the sun rise over Lake Huron which is a
wonderful way to start your day.
The Victorian Room:
Go back to a more quiet and peaceful time in history…
This second floor room is decorated in bold jewel-tones of pink and
greens. It will take you away in the days of old when everything was
filled with history and charm. The room includes a queen size bed,
dresser and its own private bathroom. This bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub
and a variety of bubble baths. Complimentary robes are included for
your stay. An option of sharing a bathroom can also be considered.
The Movie Star Room:
Spend a night with your favorite movie stars!
This room is located on the second floor of the house. It is
decorated with many black and white portraits of the rich and famous
movie stars from the past. The room also includes a small chaise
lounge. I call this the fun room. It gives you a feeling of carefree
and adventure. The room includes a queen size bed and a large dresser.
Complimentary robes are included for your stay. This room would either
share a bathroom for a lower rate or would have its own bathroom
across the hall.
Common Rooms:
Guest Parlor:
The Guest Parlor will seat six people comfortably and is located on
the main floor of the home. It is decorated in a blue country plaid
with cool blue water scene artwork. This area functions as main guest
entry and gathering area. There will be a touch tone pad to allow you
to enter our home as you please. There is cable TV and tape player for
your entertainment.
Settee:
The Settee is a sitting room located on the second floor for
everyone’s use. It includes a TV and small refrigerator for your
convenience. There is a coffee pot located in the room for early
morning convenience. You are welcomed to relax and watch the morning
news or read the daily newspaper in your robe on the provided
loveseat.
Morning Breakfast:
The Morning Breakfast will be served in the large fully remodeled
kitchen. There is seating for six at the dining room table located in
the kitchen or you may choose to eat outside on the terrace. If you
prefer, you may dine on the covered porch overlooking other historical
and cottage homes.
