picturesque Marblehead Harbor. Guests enjoy water views from its wood
paneled parlor, period dining room and summer breakfast porch. Two well
appointed guest rooms feature antique furnishings and period wallpaper.
Only a short walk from Harborside House are antique shops, art
galleries, shops of local craftsmen as well as a variety of dining
choices to suit every taste bud and budget.
A great location and gracious accommodations are only part of the
Harborside House story. Hostess Susan Livingston offers caring and
friendly hospitality. Owner of this home since 1964, she began welcoming
bed and breakfast guests in 1985. She is happy to share her knowledge of
the area and its history. Mother of three grown children and Nana to two
grandchildren, Susan is a recently retired bridal dressmaker and
calligraphist. Recreationally, she is a nationally ranked Masters
swimmer and avid cyclist.

Rooms:
This homestay bed and breakfast offers two comfortable, well
appointed guest rooms. A full modern bath is shared. Each room offers
the comfort and convenience of writing desk, bureau, closet, clock
radio, television, terry robes. Extra amenities include afternoon tea,
homemade cookies and bedside Harbor Sweets chocolates.
Harbor Room:
Spacious room with spectacular harbor view. Sounds of waves and
seagulls. Antique mahogany twin beds.
Garden Room:
Quiet, romantic accommodations overlooking flower gardens. Double
bed. Antique mirrored dressing table.
Breakfast:
A generous continental breakfast includes juice, fresh fruit, home
baked breads and muffins, choice of cereals. House specialties are
blueberry muffins and Muesli bread.

Directions:
From I-95 North/128 North (about 9 miles):
- Take exit 25A (Rte.114 East) to Salem/Marblehead.
- Go 4 miles thru Salem, past Salem College. "Entering
Marblehead" sign is ½ mile ahead. Continue 1.1 mile to the
light at Ocean Ave.
- Marblehead fire station will be on the right and turn right.
- Turn left at the next light onto Atlantic Avenue. Go 4/10 of a
mile.
- Turn right on Hawkes St., just after the Fruit of the Four Seasons
store.
- At the end of Hawkes St., turn left onto Gregory Street. #23 is on
the left.
From I-90 Mass Pike (about 16 miles):
- Continue through the Ted Williams tunnel, past Logan Airport and
merge with Rte 1A North.
- After about 9 miles, bear right at sign to Nahant/Swampscott
(Rte.1A goes straight into Lynn and Salem) Go ¾ around rotary onto
Lynn Shore Drive (Rte 129).
- Go 4 miles to "Entering Marblehead" sign.
- Continue 2 miles on Atlantic Ave. Turn right on Hawkes Street.
- See above directions.
From Logan Airport Follow Rte 1A North:
From Maine & Coastal New Hampshire:
- I-95 South to Rte 128 North.
- Take exit 25A (Rte 114 East) and continue as described in
uppermost directions.
