The Maine Stay Inn is a beautiful 1860 Victorian inn
with Italianate hip roof, accentuated by Queen Anne period flying
staircase, wrap-around porch, bay windows, and masterful architectural
detail.
The Maine Stay offers a variety of accommodations, from
charming rooms and suites in the main house, to delightful one-bedroom
cottages, some with fireplaces and whirlpool tubs.
Delightfully decorated with antiques, wicker and period
furnishings, each bedroom or two-room suite includes a private bath,
queen-size bed, and color cable TV enclosed in a handsome armoire.
The spacious and charmingly decorated cottages offer
privacy and flexibility to our guests; most have fully-equipped kitchens
and some also feature working fireplaces and whirlpool tubs- ideal for a
fall, winter or early spring visit.
From the elegant breakfast, to the delightful afternoon
tea, to your cozy room at night - the warmth and hospitality of
innkeepers Carol and Lindsay Copeland make The Maine Stay the ideal base
from which to explore Kennebunkport or day trips to New Hampshire's
White Mountains, Boston, Salem, or up the coast to Portland, Freeport,
Boothbay and Camden.

About Kennebunkport:
Walk tree-lined streets past historic houses - once
homes to sea captains, artists, writers and Maine's early settlers.
Explore the many shops and galleries in Dock Square and along Ocean
Avenue. Visit harbors once renowned for shipbuilding, still the home of
lobstermen and yachtsmen alike. Taste Maine's gifts from the sea at a
myriad of fine restaurants.
Sandy beaches, the rocky coastline, and quiet coves are
only minutes away, or let us arrange a day of deep-sea fishing, sailing,
whale watching, golf or tennis.
In autumn, you are surrounded by unsurpassed beauty as
the massive oaks and maples put on their annual display. In winter, the
sights and sounds of the season bring a special touch of nostalgia - a
reminder of seasons past.
In all seasons, Kennebunkport and The Maine Stay are the
perfect setting for a romantic getaway or family retreat.
