Elegantly appointed with 19th & 20th century
Victorian and French antiques, this French Country Inn and restaurant
will complement your visit to Bar Harbor. Perfectly located on Main
Street, yet, charmed by a quiet serene setting. Private off-street
parking. Steps to all Bar Harbor shops, one block to our wonderful shore
path and ocean and only 2 miles to the entrance to Acadia National Park.
Each suite and private powder room is elegantly designed
to distinguish its own ambience. Imported European tile and French
Victorian wall decor enhance the finishing touches to the designer bed
overlays. Quaint balconies and antique mantels from the past surround
warm enchanting fireplaces for romantic chats.

Awaken to our finely prepared gourmet morning buffet
embracing edibles such as our homemade Austrian pancakes filled with
fresh sautéed apples or pears, homemade pastries of beignets, apricot
nut loaf and delightful granola of healthy oats, nuts and fruits. A
selection of fresh juices and without a doubt, you'll return for seconds
once you've savored our fresh raspberry or wild Maine blueberry fool!

Suites:
Sumptuous elegance describes the authentic French and
English 19th and 20th century period antiques that enhance the unique
beauty of each suite. Very private full baths, some with original
antique claw foot tubs and all embellished with English designer tiles.
Quaint antique and marble-topped vanities from the past and original
mantles adorn the romantic fireplaces. Outside balconies are wonderful
to relax upon enjoying sunrise or sunsets offering a delightful treat
for early risers or after a full day's activities on our enchanted
island. Amenities include color cable TV, Fax, and telephones for your
convenience.
Suite 1:
Honeymoons, anniversaries and very special occasions
are spent in this romantic king suite. Wonderful soft colors, a
romantic fireplace and serene privacy create the ultimate stay in this
suite. A feeling of royalty and true luxury are the usual comments
from our guests. Reservations far in advance are a must!
Suite 2:
Tranquility descends upon entering this quiet private
king suite. The ambience of French doors lead you to the balcony under
whispering pines. The cozy charm of the fireplace and antique
furnishings truly depict an era of the past.
Suite 3:
Delightfully French with a unique four-poster queen
bed, French doors that lead to a sitting balcony and, but, of course,
an original claw foot tub. The decor is rich burgundy charmed by the
accent of warm shades of gold. A 19th century armoire replaces a
closet and sunlight enhances the brightness of this romantic room.
Suite 4:
An enchanting country wicker decor throughout. Our
queen size bed is nestled gently into the room and looks out through
the French doors onto the sitting balcony. A Victorian love seat
adorns the fireplace for quiet chats. Wall coverings are rich in color
and the full private bath is tastefully done in imported tiles from
London.
Suite 5:
Privacy is the ultimate in this Queen suite. An
abundance of sunlight caresses the warm sage decor with a four-poster
bed. The ceiling has been formed to enhance the roofline creating a
cozy feeling. Sitting balcony, fireplace and an old-fashioned claw
foot tub brings the past to the present. This is truly our premier
queen suite.
Suite 6:
Perfect for two couples traveling together or perhaps
those requiring two separate rooms. A queen size bed in one room and a
double bed in the other. Privacy doors separate the two rooms which do
share the same wonderful claw foot tub and shower bathroom. Both rooms
have a color cable television and both are air- conditioned.
Suite 7:
Tucked in a very private corner of Ivy Manor Inn, this
grand king suite is adorned in original 19th century antiques. Rich,
warm, burgundy colors accent the plush bedding and exquisite wall
coverings. The Victorian velvet sofa embraces the fireplace for
romantic interludes. Oversized claw foot tub and shower is not only a
delightful relaxing way to end your day, but, quite a conversation
piece!
Suite 8:
This charming suite exquisitely decorated in lovely
rose embossed wall decor truly describes the elegance in detail. A
lovely four poster bed, original Victorian armoire and oversized
private full bath with imported English tile sets the mood you're
expecting at Ivy Manor Inn. This room is fully handicap accessible,
yet, with all the romantic feelings of the past.
Welcome Area and Pub:
Upon entering the Ivy Manor Inn Bed & Breakfast
you'll experience a wonderful feeling of being set back possibly 100
years in time. Richly stained hardwood floors and uniquely designed
mahogany wood paneling creates a splendor of warmth and charm befitting
a Country Inn. The 19th and 20th century antiques are wonderful
conversational topics while you relax or enjoy your favorite novel or,
after a day's activities, dose off for a bit of a snooze.
Our English pub-like tavern offers the warmth and
congeniality one would appreciate for late afternoon refreshments or
before and after dinner cordials, wine, brew and full bar. Rich woods,
elegant stained glass and a charming fireplace completes the perfect
atmosphere. Meet and enjoy old and new friends. Open at 5:30 pm to the
guests and public for cocktails, appetizers and desserts.
