The Greyhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast is owned and
operated by Dave and Sharon Osgood. We have made our home comfortable
for you. In every way, you'll find the Greyhouse pleasant, historic and
accommodating. It is our business and joy to make your stay with us
relaxing and memorable. In that effort, we welcome your suggestions and
comments.
We pride ourselves on keeping the Greyhouse Inn in top
condition and retaining its historic and original condition while
balancing that with more modern conveniences. The Greyhouse was built in
1894 and later moved from Salmon, ID to its present location just 12
miles away.
There are several rooms from which to choose, ranging
from the cozy attic room with large porch and entrance to the large and
spacious Green Room or Tower Room. You can also enjoy the bright and
cheery Garden Room, overlooking several of the gardens from your private
porch.
You may find particular comfort and privacy in our new
outbuildings. The Carriage House, separate from the main house, provides
for your cozy private stay, and our newest Lewis and Clark Cabins give
you beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, with the best in
charming rustic comfort.
There's something for everyone at the Greyhouse Inn Bed
& Breakfast, surrounded by the rolling hills just outside of Salmon,
ID, the river flowing freely a short walk away.
Information:
Built in 1894, the Greyhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast is
in Idaho's Salmon River Valley near the largest recreation area in the
lower 48: "The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness."
Enjoy great fishing only a moment's walk from the inn.
We are pleased that very nearby the Greyhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast
the river finds a calm, so fishing is a breeze.
It's a picture postcard area surrounded by the
Bitterroot, Beaverhead & Salmon River which gives the area title to
"The White Water Capital of The World." The Salmon River is
known for its great scenic river rafting and white water river rafting.
It was named "The River of No Return" by the
Indians long ago, since no one who headed down the river came back.
That's because it is such a strong and vital river in terrifically
rugged terrain that navigating back up the river was next to impossible
at that time.
The Greyhouse Inn stands stead nearby the famous Lewis
and Clark Trail. A modest drive will also find you basking in natural
hot springs or a more commercial version.
In the Spring and Summer, you will be amazed by the
meadows of flowers and unique grasses. And in the Winter, the muffled
silence and considerable snow pack is magnificent. For every season, the
easily accessible Greyhouse Inn has something for everyone.

your trip. Enjoy your view down river. Shared bath.
Attic Room:
The Attic Room is a favorite among those who like cozy

most unique experiences at the inn. Enjoy the morning light from the
French doors, opening to a full private deck.

The Nook:
Hung in the windows are blooming geraniums. An old
fashioned metal lamp lights the already bright nook area. At
breakfast, included in your stay at the inn, you may enjoy feasts that
include huckleberry pancakes with homemade huckleberry syrup, fresh
fruit, bacon or sausage if you like, and juice. That's the way to
start your day off right! Perhaps the best part is that you may choose
to have your breakfast served between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m.
Dining Room:
Surrounded by country elegance, look out onto the
broad side yard lined with pines. You can have your breakfast here, or
in the relaxing nook. With solid oak floors and quaint wood burning
