amenities, along with full gourmet breakfasts, capture the Hawaii of old
and pamper you in grand style.
All rooms in this historic renovated home have private

TV, VCR, telephones with voice mail/modem ports, and AC. Private parking
on site. Guests enjoy the privacy of the gardens, and veranda or can
enjoy stimulating conversations in the living room or at the breakfast
table.
The Inn is a short drive to beautiful beaches, lush golf
courses, great restaurants, and most major visitor attractions. The
business traveler, too, will appreciate the short ten minute drive from
Kahului Airport and pleasant five minute walk to Maui's government and
commercial center.
The Charm of Old Wailuku Inn:
Built by a wealthy island banker as a wedding gift for
his daughter-in-law, the "Queen" of historic Wailuku homes was
lovingly restored by her island-born and raised proprietors.
It has been named the Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono and,
down to the smallest detail, it represents 1920's Hawai'i at its very
best, intertwined with the conveniences and luxuries modern travelers
expect. The overall theme of the inn and its impeccably landscaped
grounds pay tribute to Hawai'i's poet laureate of the 1920's and '30s,
Don Blanding.
Each of the seven distinctive guest rooms is dedicated
to one of the flowers in his "Old Hawaiian Garden". Hawaiian
quilts, in the design of each room's flower, set each room apart.
While staying with us, you can choose from one of our
many rooms...
The Veranda Floor:
Ulu Room:
The Ulu Room, which is the inn's sumptuous master
suite, transports guests to the simpler, gentler Hawai'i of the 1920s.
The inn's largest bath has a whirlpool tub and separate shower as well
as the original built-in vanity.
Bird of Paradise Room:
Elegant Eucalyptus floors and the original elliptical
shower stall are the special features of the soft blue Bird of
Paradise Room. Securing the corridor door it shares with the Ulu Room
creates a two-bedroom suite.
Mokihana Room:
The views of the West Maui Mountains and Iao Valley
from the moonlight gray Mokihana Room are as lush as the mountain tops
on which the coveted forest plant lives. The old glass-doored cabinets
showcase the owners' eclectic Oriental art collection. The bath
features a whirlpool tub.
The Garden Floor:
Hibiscus Room:
The Hibiscus Room and Lehua Room each has its own
lanai and private walled garden. These adjoining rooms may be combined
into a larger suite by opening their connecting doors. The fragrances
both inside and out of these garden rooms are tantalizing.
Lehua Room:
The Hibiscus Room and Lehua Room each has its own
lanai and private walled garden. These adjoining rooms may be combined
into a larger suite by opening their connecting doors.
Ilima Room:
Its old parchment walls and vivid Ilima quilt combine
to make the Ilima Room one of the inn's most beautiful. The whirlpool
tub is open to the bedroom; the inn's logo is based on this room's
original arched windows.
Lokelani Room:
Inspired by Maui's natural beauty, the Lokelani Room
is dedicated to the island's pink rose. Morning sun gives a particular
glow to the exquisite Hawaiian ohi'a wood floors. A sweet evening
scent emanates from the exotic miulana flourishing outside the south
window.
