The Kendrick House circa 1905 was originally built as a
boarding house by the town Dentist, Ivey Depress Kendrick.
Vernacular in style with four wood burning fireplaces
and the original stained glass window, the house features heart of pine
floors and a large front porch.
Located in the heart of the historic district of the
picturesque town of White Springs, we are a short stroll to the romantic
Suwannee River and Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center (state park) and
the Florida Eco-Heritage Tourism Center.
History abounds in this village with 119 historic
buildings and a population of only 800. Bordered on two sides by the
Suwannee River made famous by the songs of Stephen Foster, canoeing and
kayaking are favorite sports here.
Whitewater at the Big Shoals offers thrills for those
brave enough to attempt Florida's only white water. Springs everywhere
offer cool swimming in the summer time.
Enter the white picket fence of the bed and breakfast and you
enter another world - an era of grace and elegance.
Voted by inn-goers as Best Children Friendly Bed and Breakfast in
Arrington's Bed and Breakfast Journal Book of Lists 2002.
The house is listed in the National Registry of Historic
Places and is located only two blocks from the newly opened Shops of
Spring Street.
