This St. Augustine Florida Bed and Breakfast Inn is built of coquina masonry with columns and verandas that accent her personality  of gracious southern elegance and casual relaxation. Passing horse-drawn carriages contribute to the ambiance of a bygone era.

Enjoy our full breakfast served on vintage china in either the formal dining room or on one of our spacious verandas.

"Southern Wind Inn" bed and breakfast has retained all its original architectural charm while offering you the contemporary comforts of central air, king and queen size beds, cable TV and private baths.  Each bedroom is beautifully appointed with period furnishings and antiques reminiscent of the Flagler era.

Breakfast:

We serve a complete buffet breakfast each morning featuring organically grown fruits and vegetables, when available.

Rooms:

There are full length verandas with white wicker rocking chairs on both the first and second stories.

Flower Room:

The Flower Room is one of our cozier rooms and our guests enjoy its quaint charm. It boasts an antique walnut Queen size bed with rounded footboards and matching night stands. The private in-room bath has a shower and tub combination. Just outside the door is a porch with wicker chairs and hanging plants.

Cottage Room:

The Cottage Room is our other cozy room and is equally charming. It is furnished with a Queen size bed, plus matching dresser and night stand all in Flagler era decor. The private in-room bath has a tiled tub and shower combination.

Garden Room:

The Garden Room is a stunning contrast of lush pastels accented with a chaise upholstered in bold primary colors. The queen size bed, matching antique vanity and dresser and hard wood floors add to the beauty of this room. Shower without tub in this bath. The Garden Room has its own convenient private entrance.

Rose Room:

The Rose Room has a rich Victorian warmth with hardwood floors and a collection of American and English antique pieces. It is a large room with a King size bed, sitting area, vanity and carved mahogany cabinet. There is a large private bath and tiled shower.

Honeymoon Room:

The Honeymoon Room is a romantic room with a King size bed situated in a bay window with lace curtains. There is a matching head board and dressing table, plus a spacious sitting area. The private bath has a pedestal tub with faux marble surround and a shower.

Veranda Room:

The Veranda Room is one of our most requested rooms as it boasts a private entrance to the second story Veranda. The room is beautifully appointed with period pieces and antiques. It has hardwood floors and a private in-room bath with a large soaking tub and shower. There is a King size bed, vanity, armoire and a sitting area.

Crystal Suite:

The Crystal Suite is a delightful room with hardwood floors and oriental carpets. The Queen size bed and dressing table are Chippendale style. In addition to a sitting area in the main room, there is a daybed for lounging or to accommodate a third person. There is a collection of crystal in the laced windows and the private in-room bath has a large whirlpool tub and shower.

Jacuzzi Room:

The Jacuzzi Room is located at the rear of the inn with a private exterior entrance. There is a full sized Jacuzzi tub with a romantic chandelier above. The room is completed in English antiques and has an oriental carpet. There is a Queen size bed and a beautiful walnut armoire. The private bath has a full sized shower. Outside the entry door is a large deck with a wrought iron table and chairs.

Porcelain Room:

The Porcelain Room has a turn of the century dresser and hardwood floors. There is also a marble topped dresser and table and a Queen size bed with a carved headboard. The private bathroom has a large whirlpool tub and shower.

Willow Room:

The Willow Room is a spacious room with a full sized Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. There is a King size bed, large armoire and an antique writing desk. The private in-room bath has a full shower. The room has a private entrance on the south side of the inn. This is our newest room and is quite lovely.
