A comfortable, old style Florida home built as the
Dowling House in 1912 across the Caloosahatchee in a sawmill town that
met its demise in the '40's.
The Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast was cut "square in
two" and barged across the river spending several days stuck on
sand bars to its present location.
The Inn has five guest rooms all with private bath and
queen size beds. The Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast was renovated in early 1998 and
began operations in August 1998. It's quaint history continues.
The house was built in 1912 and recently restored and
redecorated to be comfortably chic. The Inn contains large guestrooms
each with a private bath and a queen size bed. Also available is one
handicap accessible room with a private bath, and two single beds.
Each night's stay at the Inn is complimented by a full
family style breakfast. Air conditioning throughout the Inn, provides
guests with an opportunity to escape hot Florida temperatures.
The common areas of the Inn provide guests with the use
of a phone, laptop data port, stereo, television, and VCR.
The Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located within walking
distance of the Edison & Ford estates, Centennial Park, the
Caloosahatchee River and many fine restaurants.
The Downtown Entertainment District and the Boston Red
Sox spring training fields are also within walking distance of The Hibiscus House Bed and Breakfast.
