Center Court is an historic preservation award winning bed and breakfast located in the "center" of Old Town Key West, just steps from all the excitement of world famous Duval Street.

Specializing in "Honeymoon" and "Anniversary" suites with private Jacuzzis and hammocks for star gazing, we also provide wedding services. We offer rooms, suites, cottages and homes with private pool for our family or group guests.

Center Court has two heated pools surrounded by lush, tropical gardens and we welcome singles, couples, families with children and pets.

About Center Court:

Naomi Van Steelandt, a registered nurse and the resident owner, supervised the design, renovation and decoration of these historic properties dating to the late 1880's and received Awards of Excellence from the Key West Historical Preservation Society in 1994 for the superb detailing and craftsmanship of the renovation. That same year, AAA awarded Center Court the prestigious Three Diamond designation.

The guest house rooms, Cistern House, Honeymoon Hideaway, The Cottage and the Family House are delightfully arranged for maximum privacy in the gardens around the heated pool, spa, exercise pavilion, private European-style sun deck and fish/lily pond. The tropical gardens includes exotic varieties of Caribbean trees and foliage with palms, frangipani, Barbados cherry, gumbo limbo, key lime trees and fragrant flowering plants.

Six properties extend along Center Street, two on Amelia St., and one on Whalton Lane. Each is unique, historic and decorated in a light and airy Caribbean style with original and local art, just steps apart and just minutes from all the fun and festivities Key West has to offer.

Our office hours are 9 am to 7 pm daily and we offer full concierge service for tips on the best our Island Paradise has to offer!

Enjoy the island on a bicycle or moped-the rental is at Truman and Center Street. Excellent restaurants surround us, the Hemingway House and Lighthouse Museum are one block away, the Atlantic Ocean is a short 5-7 minute walk, Mallory Square and the Sunset Celebration is a leisurely 15 minute walk!

Rooms:

All rooms and suites have private baths with hair dryers, CATV, telephone, fans, A/C, in room safe, beach towels and beach bags for your travels to the beach, diving, snorkeling, parasailing, sailing, kayaking or fishing.

Our cottages have full kitchens with everything provided for cooking gourmet meals, gas BBQ grills with private yards to enjoy dining or star gazing in your own very private hot tub. For our business guest we offer fax, e-mail and computer availability.

Pets and children are welcomed in our suites and houses (we have our resident Jack Russell, Daphne, who loves to play, dive and surf the pool, and our Black Lab, Holly, who likes to sleep a lot or beg at breakfast).

Directions from Miami:

• Go West on East-West Expressway. (Portions toll) to Palmetto Expressway (7.5 miles)
• Go South on Palmetto Expressway to South Dade Expressway (4.6 miles)
• Go Southwest on South Dade Expressway (Portions toll) to Florida's Turnpike (6.7 miles)
• Go Southwest on Florida's Turnpike (Portions toll) to US 1 (17.5 miles)
• Go Southwest on US 1 (131.6 miles)
• When you reach Key West you'll turn right and continue on US 1 also called N. Roosevelt Blvd. stay on US 1 straight through town.
  • You'll pass through 9 traffic lights the last being the intersection of Truman & Simonton (US 1 is now also Truman Avenue).
  • Center court will be on your right before you reach the next light, which is Duval Street. Take a right on Center Street and Center Court Historic Inn is on your left about a half a block. (3 miles)
