Built by Walter Nolan Baker, the 1735 House is an ocean side retreat adventure, named for the year James Oglethorpe crowned the island for Princess Amelia who was the sixth daughter of King George III.

To get to our exclusive island in the Atlantic you can charter a plane, rent a boat or just take the bridge.

Considering how close to the real world we are, you'll be amazed at how altogether different our little island paradise really is. A 150 year old lighthouse, still tireless beacon to those navigating the sea. Graceful sand dunes shaped and reshaped by the whims of our winds.

Easy to get to:

Amelia Island is mere minutes off the northeast coast of Florida by car. It's just a half an hour from the bustling Jacksonville Airport. If you'd rather, you can charter a plane and land directly on our island at the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport, or wend your way up Florida's Intracoastal Waterway by boat.

The city of Fernandina Beach is located on beautiful Amelia Island in Northeast Florida. It is located 25 miles north of Jacksonville, Florida and 40 miles south of Savannah, Georgia.

Hard to leave:

Take A1A onto Amelia Island and turn right at second traffic light onto Sadler Road. Continue on Sadler Road until you reach the round about (rotary) at South Fletcher Avenue (A1A) (and the Atlantic Ocean!) Proceed left on South Fletcher (A1A) heading north along beach route. Once you pass the caution light continue down South Fletcher check-in point located at 87 South Fletcher Avenue.
