manor is the perfect destination in every season. It is the ideal atmosphere to explore spring
love, stroll down to the beach in summer, experience autumn in New England and for a

Casual country elegance combined with informality, and a light friendly attitude welcomes
business travelers to their home away from home, romantic getaways, vacationers, as well as,
large groups events, including weddings. We are able to accommodate large groups of people
for several days.
Come, visit us. We have it all. After your stay with us, you will have found your own perfect
home away from home.
Rooms:
Our beautifully appointed nine guest rooms, named after Captain Elbert Stannard’s descendants
offer comfortable queen beds, freshly pressed cotton linens, individual climate controls, private
baths and sitting areas. A delicious, candlelit, full breakfast is included in the room rate and served in our warm and inviting Dining Room.
The Dining Room boasts an outstanding fieldstone fireplace with nine tables and comfortable
seating for up to 35 people. Antique tables and chairs, fine china and a beautiful baby grand
piano fill the room. Relax by the windows overlooking the gardens or be cozy by the fire.
Common Areas:
Linger by the fire in our spacious Great Room with your morning coffee or glass of wine in the
evening. Play a game of pool on our regulation pool table. Choose a board game from our extensive selection in the Armoire. Refresh yourself – there is a stocked mini-fridge near the bar.
Play a CD on our multi CD player.
Just like home. That’s our Captain’s Room. Comfortable, cozy, inviting. Watch a little television. Read a book. Add a few pieces to the ongoing jigsaw puzzle on the table. A guest refrigerator is available to store the dinner you couldn’t finish, to chill your drinks or to fill an ice bucket. Anyone for chess…table for two is ready. Write a little note in our guest book…
