Acorn Bed and Breakfast, built in 1975, is set back from the road on two acres and surrounded by large, stately oak trees.

The lovely Cape Cod style home features front and back porches, an ornate cooking range in the kitchen, a dining room featuring Oldhickory furniture, a living room with fireplace, two cozy guest rooms, both with private bath, and antiques throughout.

Each morning the Acorn provides a full breakfast of freshly baked muffins, coffee cakes, bacon, eggs, toast with homemade jam, bread pudding with raspberry sauce, and other fine treats.

The innkeepers have "spared no detail", tells the Hartford Courant. Newsday Travel featured Acorn Bed and Breakfast in its "Inn of the Week" column.
