Built in 1889, Castle Marne is a locally
designated Landmark structure, listed on the National Register of
Historic Structures, and located in the Wyman Historic District.
Your stay at Castle Marne combines Old World elegance
and Victorian charm with modern-day convenience and comfort. Each room
is a unique experience in pampered luxury. Carefully chosen furnishings
bring together authentic period antiques, family heirlooms, and exacting
reproductions to create the mood of long-age charm and romance.
A full
afternoon tea is served for our guests in the parlor at check-in.
A
business trip, weekend getaway, honeymoon or romantic interlude will be
truly memorable when spent at the Castle Marne. Offering nine unique
guest rooms, some with Jacuzzis and hot tubs, you are sure to find an
accommodation to suit your needs. Business travelers will appreciate the
fully equipped Guest Office, with dedicated computer access line, and

Located in the heart of Denver's Wyman Historic District
on Capitol Hill, our inn is just minutes from both Cherry Creek
Shopping/Business District and Denver's Downtown business district.
Denver International Airport is 25 to 30 minutes away, with service by
taxi and shuttle van.

neighborhood, just a short walk from our door.

Rooms - First Floor:
Conservatory:
Cheerful room with bay window and southern exposure
overlooking the Victorian Garden. Cabbage Roses cover the walls; a
Queen-size bed, wicker armoire and loveseat compliment the decor. Your
private bath has its original clawfooted tub with shower ring, and
Victorian style "pull chain toilet". When the house was
built, this room did not exist. It is one of the finest additions to
the original building.

Dining Room:
The original cherry paneled formal dining room with
original Lincrusta Wallpaper from England greets you with linens and
china to awaken the senses with fresh baked breads and muffins,
coffee, tea, juices and a gourmet breakfast with fresh seasonal fruits
to start your day. The Dining Room is available for catered functions
as well as an elegant 6 course Dinner for parties of up to 10 people.
The Dining Room may also be used for private meeting space as well.
Parlor:
The Parlor of the Castle Marne has been restored back
to its original splendor, boasting the famous Dolphin carvings on the
massive mahogany fireplace. This unique symbol of luck and good
fortune graces the sitting area for tea time, meetings and relaxing.
The baby grand piano offers music for the ear during gatherings and
special functions. The turret always has a puzzle to be finished and a
quiet getaway from the days hustle and bustle. Take your shoes off and
relax as you would at home, because our house is your house.
Victorian Garden:
The Victorian Garden has flowers, herbs, shade trees
and umbrellas for your comfort and enjoyment. Colorado's weather
allows for enjoyment of the outdoor garden practically year around.
Special functions, meetings or just and evening of tea and snacks is
graciously enjoyed in the outdoor splendor.
Front Foyer:
As you enter the Castle Marne's massive front oak
door, you are greeted with a sweeping staircase, indicative of the
grandeur of the Victorian era. The colors, the decor and the warmth
remind you of "grandmother's house" and invite you to settle
in, relax and come back to a slower, more comfortable time. You sense
a time past of sophistication, warmth and comfort next to the
signature fireplace designed by the architect himself, Mr. William
Lang, one of Denver's foremost and prolific architects of the time.
Rooms - Second Floor:
Presidential Suite:
Bedroom and Turret Our premier offering, a three room
suite lovingly reproduced much as it was 107 years ago, surrounding
you with the warmth and grace of a bygone era. King-size brass tester
bed, gentleman's "Hat Box" dresser, armoire, other period
furnishings, and original fireplace. Seen through lace covered French
Doors, the Solarium invites you to enjoy the modern jetted whirlpool
tub for two. Private bath with shower. The loveseat in the tower
sitting room offers the perfect atmosphere for a romantic interlude.
Solarium, Balcony and Jacuzzi Tub Your private balcony
offers you a view of downtown Denver, and the snow capped Rocky
Mountains. This is directly off of your own indoor Jacuzzi Tub for two
in the secluded Solarium Room of the Presidential Suite. As the sun
sets, your enjoyment begins with the relaxation and beauty of the
grandest room in the house.
Van Cise Room:
Named for Adele Van Cise, the fourth owner. This is a
sun-splashed room with southern exposure. It has the original
fireplace mantle, Queen-size brass bed, and writing desk. Your private
bath is complete with original wall tile, marble topped wash basin and
clawfooted tub with shower ring. Relax beneath the stars in the
trellis enclosed hot tub for two on your private balcony.
Lang Room:
Gracious room named for William Lang, who was the
Castle Marne's designer, and Denver's most famous residential
architect. Located just off the second floor landing, its Queen-size
four poster bed and step-up stair are unique. Paisley wall coverings
and original wood floor enhance the furnishings. Private bath with
shower and pedestal sink.
Raymond Room:
Quaint corner room named for Wilbur Raymond, prominent
early Denver Silver Baron and real estate developer. Antique iron and
brass Double bed with luxurious feather tick, private bath has
pedestal sink and shower. Relax under the stars in your private hot
tub for two on the balcony. Umbrella table and chairs.
Rooms - Third Floor:
Melissa's Room:
Named for our daughter, this room features a cathedral
ceiling, Queen-size cherry bed and furnishings to compliment the
hand-picked Victorian Rose wall coverings. Your private bath has a
shower and pedestal basin. This very unique designed room has been a
getaway for movie stars and lovers alike. See the Ragedy Anne and Andy
from Melissa's childhood.
Colonel Platt Room:
A haven in Cabbage Roses, blue accents, and an antique
walnut Double bed complete with luxurious feather tick. Your private
bath has its original claw-footed tub with shower ring. With total
privacy, relax in your own outdoor hot tub for two on the covered
balcony. Truly the most intimate room in our home.
Tower Room:
Enchanting airy room with cathedral ceilings, mountain
view, and adjoining tower sitting room. Antique French beveled glass
armoire and Twin Sleigh Beds. Your private bath is just across the
hall. Fluffy bathrobes are furnished. This room is the perfect
Victorian retreat. Writers have used this getaway to have their dreams
become real.
John T. Mason Room:
Elegant room named for the Marne's third owner, a
world-renowned naturalist. Palladian windows, Queen-size brass bed,
highboy dresser. cathedral ceilings and southern exposure offer a
gracious, sun-flooded room. Enjoy your romantic jetted whirlpool tub
for two surrounded by Victorian splendor and a commemorative display
of Jack Mason's butterfly collection. Modern bath with shower. The
Mason and Tower Rooms are available as a double accommodation
