Located on the central coast of California, the J. Patrick House Bed
& Breakfast is an authentic log home and charming carriage house,
nestled in the pines above the village of Cambria.
Surround yourself with Irish country amenities and charm. Enjoy rooms
with wood burning fireplaces, private baths and unique country,
traditional decor. A perfect romantic getaway spot.
Wine and hors d'oeuvres are served in the early evening, milk and
cookies at bedtime and in the morning, a full gourmet breakfast is
served in our Garden Room. In-room massage available.

We are near Hearst Castle, Paso Robles Wine region, the ocean and
forest and of course, the quaint, unspoiled village of Cambria with

The main log house has one guest room, Clare. A garden and passion
vine covered archway leads to an additional seven rooms in our carriage
house. Each is filled with antique furniture, a window seat, wood
burning fireplace and private bath.
Ann & John's goal is to provide a relaxed, friendly atmosphere
with beautiful surroundings for your getaway. We can help you plan any
of the many activities available to you in and near Cambria, or just
help you relax and do nothing but enjoy your surroundings.
Breakfast:
We serve a delicious full breakfast in our Garden room where you can
watch the Hummingbirds drink from the flowers.
Begin with fresh squeezed orange juice and a hot beverage. A starter
of local fruit is served with homemade granola, fresh local raisins and
delicious yogurt.
A hot entrée follows with fare such as apple pie bread pudding with
crème fraiche, vegi strata with salsa, blintzes with ollieberry jam,
chili corn soufflé or stuffed French toast with pure maple syrup.

We have 8 guest rooms that offer Irish Country charm and amenities
with a touch of elegance. Each is uniquely decorated with traditional country
décor, wood burning fireplace or stove and private bath. Exquisite
amenities.

Wine Country:
Our wine country starts just a short beautiful 20 minute ride from
Cambria on breathtaking Highway 46. You will enter a world of rolling
hills, magnificent vistas, including Morro Bay, farm lands and the
intimate wineries scattered throughout. Here you will find a rich
history of winemaking and grape growing that began in 1797. Today
there are more than 70 wineries and 100 vineyards growing premium wine
grapes on rolling hills that vary from 700 to 1900 feet in elevation.
Wine tours can be arranged via limousine or shuttle tour there are
winery events throughout the year.
Moonstone Beach:
Enjoy a walk on beautiful Moonstone Beach and search the tide pools
for exotic sea life.
Horse Back Riding:
Experience the South Coast of Big Sur by horseback on a private
ranch and see whales, red tailed hawks, bald eagles, deer and much
more.
Touring:
Rent a bicycle right here in town and see everything up close and
personal.
Bike, walk or take your automobile on rural Santa Rosa Creek Road.
This adventure will take you to Highway 46, Paso Robles and Templeton
wine region, but not before you experience ranch lands, farms, wooded
creeks, red tailed hawks, wild turkeys and turkey vultures.
Hearst Castle:
This is a fun way to spend some of your time. The Castle is a taste
of the life of William Randolph Hearst and his passion for this part
of the world. The magnificent estate "La Cuesta Encantada"
(The Enchanted Hill) is open for tours daily, except Thanksgiving,
Christmas and New Years Day. New to Hearst Castle is The National
Geographic Theatre with their 5 story screen.
Elephant Seals:
Have you ever witnessed a 1 ton Elephant Seal? Do we have an
experience for you! We'll tell you about it when you get here!!

Directions:
From Los Angeles:
- Take 101 north to San Luis Obispo.
- Get off at the Hearst Castle/HWY One exit.
- Follow HWY One north approximately forty miles, past Morro Bay
& Cayucos.
- At the Burton Drive signal turn right onto Burton Drive.
- Continue along Burton Drive approximately ½ mile to the J.
Patrick House (on your right).
From San Francisco:
- Take Highway 101 south past Paso Robles to Highway 46.
- Exit at HWY 46 to the right and head west toward the ocean.
- At the T intersection of HWY 46 and HWY 1, turn right onto Highway
1.
- At the Burton Drive signal turn right onto Burton Drive.
- Continue along Burton Drive approximately ½ mile to the J.
Patrick House (on your right).
From Big Sur:
- Follow Highway One south past Ragged Point and San Simeon to the
second traffic signal at the Burton Drive intersection.
- Turn left onto Burton Drive and continue approximately ½ mile to
the J. Patrick House (the inn will be on your right).
