La Paz in Desert Springs is a home bed and breakfast located in North Scottsdale. La Paz means "the peace" and that is what you'll find here.

La Paz offers three guest accommodations with economical seasonal rates suited for business travel, families and honeymoons.

Ideally located within 25 minutes of Sky Harbor Airport and downtown Phoenix, yet within minutes of Old Scottsdale with its fine shops, restaurants, theaters, museums and malls.

Rooms:

The Arizona Suite:

This Suite is decorated in a Southwestern motif. It is a spacious three room, private entrance suite with a large king bedroom, private bath, living room with a comfortable queen sleep sofa, entertainment center with cable TV/VCR and a fully equipped kitchenette. The suite also has a private exit to the pool/spa area. A complimentary fruit basket and refreshments are included in the room rate.

Perfect for family and business travel, honeymoon and extended stay travelers.

The Desert Spring Room:

Located in the main part of the home, this guest room sleeps two on a queen bed and is decorated in a Southwestern style. There is cable TV/VCR and a telephone in the room. This room shares a private hall bath with the Old West Room.

Guests can relax in the main living room area, listen to music, read any of the displayed books or just sit around the fireplace and converse with fellow travelers.

The Old West Room:

decorated in an old west style, this room is located in the main part of the home and accommodates two on twin beds. Cable TV/VCR and telephone is in the room. The Old West Room shares a private hall bath with the Desert Spring Room.

Guests may relax in the living room area, listen to music, read any of the displayed books, or just converse around the fireplace with fellow travelers.

Meals:

A gourmet continental plus breakfast is served consisting of fresh fruit in season, homemade yogurt and granola, home baked bread or muffins, hot and cold cereal, piping hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit juices. On weekends breakfast is served with a Southwestern flair consisting of such dishes as breakfast burritos, Mexican omelets with salsa, corn waffles with cilantro butter, layered tortillas, sopapillias, churros and Indian fry bread.

Complimentary refreshments are offered in the main dining area.

We can accommodate special diets upon request with advance notice.

Directions:

• From Sky Harbor Airport, take the West Exit to Hwy 51 (Squaw Peak Parkway).
• Follow the Squaw Peak North to the Thunderbird Road, Exit 11 and go East (right).
• Stay on Thunderbird until you arrive at 64th Street and turn left.
• Go one block to Friess Drive and turn left again.
• On 63rd Place make another left and continue one block to Ludlow.
