Enjoy the flavor of a romantic old Spanish hacienda in
Arizona on sixteen secluded acres just minutes from restaurants and
shopping but a world away from the pressures of everyday life.
Nature lovers will want to hike in Saguaro National Park
just across the road and watch the many species of birds that visit our
many feeders. Tour famous local sights and then come back to pamper
yourself under the stars in one of our hydrotherapy spas. Or just relax
on one of our shady porches or patios with a good book and enjoy the
mountain views in our desert oasis.
Our accommodations are ideal for either short or
extended stays. Each offers a kitchenette, sleeping accommodations for
four, private bath, TV/VCR, telephone, private entrance, and ornate
antique gas or wood burning stove. The décor is an artistic and unique
blend of Spanish, country, and southwest.
Enjoy a leisurely continental plus breakfast in the
Mexican courtyard with fountain and flowers, on the patio with mountain
views, or in the Great Room.
Well-behaved and supervised children are welcome, but
leave the responsibility of pets at home and enjoy the desert wildlife.
Enjoy superb dining, the beauty and wildlife of the
Sonoran desert, recreation, and the rich cultural heritage of the
Southwest.
Rooms:
Patio Suite:
The two-room Patio Suite with private full bath looks
out to the romantic courtyard with flowers around an old Mexican
fountain. Comfortable chairs, chaise lounge, and table invite
relaxation. Water sounds from the fountain lull you to sleep at night
in your queen sized bed.
If you have more in your party, the living room has a
double hide-a-bed which can accommodate two more. Also in the living
room is a small library, TV/VCR, and lovely ornate antique gas heating
stove to add atmosphere to cool winter evenings.
The kitchenette, decorated with talavera Mexican tile,
includes a double sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker,
toaster, two-burner built in hot plate, dishes, and cookware. The
carefully decorated, high ceiling rooms are an attractive mix of
country and Southwest.
Rose Room:
The richly decorated Rose Room is named for its
primary accent color. Two large windows look out to a private porch
with table, chaise lounge, BBQ, and chairs for relaxation. This
spacious room has a sitting area in front of an ornate antique gas
heating stove which provides a cozy ambiance on cool evenings.
A kitchenette with large sink, built in two-burner hot
plate, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and
generous refrigerator make fixing snack or meals a snap.
The private shower bath includes an ornate gold leafed
mirror and saltillo tile floor. The outstanding feature of the room is
a colorful, hand carved Mexican headboard especially made for this
room.
A queen size off-the-wall bed accommodates two extra
guests. Built in shelves provide storage and accommodate a TV/VCR and
books.
Casita Room:
The Casita is a separate adobe hideaway with its own
parking, front and back porches, and spacious back patio with private
spa, table, chairs, chaise lounge, and BBQ. The living room and
kitchen area has a very special saguaro ribbed ceiling and saltillo
tile floors.
The full kitchen includes stove, oven, microwave,
dishwasher, toaster, large refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes,
cookware, double sink, and washer/dryer. The dining area has a drop
leaf table which can accommodate 6 and sits next to a built-in highly
decorated, shelving unit with books and other treasures.
In the living room is a long couch, two comfortable
lounge chairs, a CD, tape, radio, TV/VCR, and a large antique, ornate
wood burning pot bellied stove for cool weather enjoyment.
The full bath sports a lovely stained glass window.
The master bedroom has a uniquely designed Mexican style headboard
with a king sized bed and large closet with mirrored sliding glass
doors. The second bedroom has a trundle bed unit with twin beds.
The Casita has an Old World Spanish feel to the décor
but is light and cheerful in tone, a charming blend of the old and
modern worlds.
