This in-home bed and breakfast is situated
on five quiet, wooded acres.
The guest rooms are spacious, comfortable
and private. A family room with videos, games and a reading area is
available for guests' use.
Your hosts of Rose Ridge Bed & Breakfast, David and
Diane Rose, grew up in the Palmer area and have been here over 30 years.
Diane has over 10 years experience in the tourism industry, and has
extensive knowledge of the area history and attractions.
A Place To Feel At Home:
Rose Ridge Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place to
come home to after a day of sightseeing and activities. Enjoy the long
summer days by taking a walk in the woods, enjoy the newly landscaped
yard, and a BBQ pit is available.
Your Private Room:
The rooms have 2 queen beds with fluffy comforters. For
your convenience there is a TV/VCR and private entrance. The private
bath is adjoining. Smoking is permitted outdoors only.
You will have your choice of a complimentary continental
or full breakfast. Continental includes rolls, croissants, fresh fruit
in season and a variety of beverages. It can be served in the dining
room or in your own room from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The full breakfast is
prepared from a varied menu in the dining room from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. We
will do our best to accommodate those with special dietary needs.
How to Find Us:
From Anchorage:
Take the Glenn Highway (Hwy 1) North through Palmer
(45 miles). One mile past Palmer turn left on Palmer Fishhook Road
(the road to Hatcher Pass). Follow Fishhook to mile 5 and turn left on
New Hope Street. Go 1/2 mile and turn left onto Raleigh Hills Street,
then left on Highlander Circle. Rose Ridge is the last house on the
right at the end of the street.
From Wasilla:
Take the Palmer-Wasilla Highway for 7 miles to the
intersection with Trunk Road. Take a left onto Trunk Road and continue
on it until it ends at the intersection with Palmer Fishhook Road.
Turn left here and continue 2 1/2 miles and turn left on New Hope
Street. Go 1/2 mile and turn left onto Raleigh Hills Street, then left
on Highlander Circle. Rose Ridge is the last house on the right at the
end of the street.
Area Activities:
The Palmer/Wasilla area of the Matanuska Valley has
plenty of sights to see and activities to experience. Plan to stay a few
days to see it all.
Hatcher Pass: (10 minutes):
Scenic drive, hiking, Independence Mine &
Historical Park, gold panning and biking.
Palmer Area: (10 minutes)
Musk Ox Farm, Reindeer Farm, Visitor's Center Museum
& Vegetable Gardens, Colony House, river rafting, golf, fishing,
flightseeing, Matanuska and Knik glaciers, and Alaska State Fair
(August).
Wasilla and North Valley: (20-60 minutes)
Iditarod Trail Headquarters, Dorothy Page Museum &
Historical Townsite, Museum of Alaska Transportation & Industry,
golf, flightseeing, swimming, boating, and fishing. For salmon fishing
