The Gentleman's Room has a mahogany bedroom suite with an antique red and white double Irish chain quilt on the bed. There is an assortment of men's hats and accessories from the late 1800-early 1900s. The room has its own private bath.

The wide oak stair landing between the bedrooms holds a collection of antique mirrors in oak frames with one mirror dating to the 1700s. A Victorian wicker baby buggy and black mourning dress from the early 1900s are located next to the upper balcony access. The balcony has antique wicker furnishings for guests to enjoy, offering a view of the local stream and wooded areas.

The downstairs common areas include an entrance foyer with Victorian baby carriage with fringed top and an early 1900 Edison cylinder phonograph. The parlor or music room is home to a piano, violin, autoharp, guitar, and an assortment of cylinder music boxes and a rare Symphonion metal disk music box.

One of the sitting rooms has a comfortable sofa, two fireside chairs, a fireplace with antique mantel, a collection of unusual oil lamps along with an oak schoolmaster's desk. The desk holds several slate tablets, early textbooks, and some fiction books such as Uncle Remus and Huck Finn. There is a prize winning blue and white Lincoln quilt on one wall.

The other sitting room or hearth room off of the kitchen houses a large walk-in fireplace with cooking utensils, bucket bench, love seat, rocking horse and spinning wheel.

  • Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the screened porch.
  • Nuts, cheese tray, crackers, teas, coffee and soft drinks are provided.

Cabin Accommodations:

Little House on Prairie:

The "Little House on Prairie" cabin is made of board and batten construction with a sleeping loft upstairs and another bedroom and sitting area downstairs. A blue porcelain wood cook stove, private bath, stacked stone fireplace and rocking chairs with game table complete this cabin. There is a small refrigerator and microwave for guest use. This cabin sleeps up to four adults.

Honeymoon Cabin:

The "Honeymoon" cabin has painted white walls, a cathedral ceiling, antique brass and iron bed, reclining love seat in front of a stacked stone fireplace and a small kitchen area with refrigerator and microwave for coffee and drinks. There is a swing on the front porch overlooking the Blackburn River. Antique quilts, toys and linens add to the warm homey atmosphere of the cabin.

  • Breakfast is served in the dining room or on the screened porch.
  • Nuts, cheese tray, crackers, teas, coffee and soft drinks are provided.

Formal Dining Room:

The "formal" dining room has an oak mantel around a marble fireplace. The china cabinets hold Sybil's collection of flow blue china and Cason's collection of pearl handle flatware. This room is completed with an antique wicker serving table with white porcelain tea service.

The kitchen is large with glass cabinet doors. The guests are served breakfast off of antique red and white Crown Ducal Bristol pattern china. Again, crisp white linens compliment the Hoosier cabinet and cane bottomed chairs. Extensive collections of blue granite ware and white porcelain complete the country décor.

In the spring and summer, guests can enjoy their breakfast on the screened porch.
