A professionally trained chef treats you everyday to the
freshest and beautifully prepared meals. A full crew takes care of
your every needs.
Come make the beautiful Kathryn B. your home away from
home . . . and cruise into yesterday without giving up the comforts of
today!
The Kathryn B. resembles an old-fashioned windjammer in every way -
except that she's brand-new. That means that in addition to her
raised-panel interior, brass appointments, and wonderfully Victorian
decor, she offers you lots of modern features, including large,
queen-size beds and private bathrooms.
Relax on her broad decks or settle into the cozy deckhouse and enjoy
great views of the pine-clad islands slipping by as you read that
special book you've been saving. Your cares will melt away under the
majestic spread of sails on this three mast schooner.
Let the Kathryn B. take you on a special vacation to the timeless coast
of Maine. Sail the protected waters of Penobscot Bay, enjoy a
lobsterbake on an uninhabited island, visit quaint fishing villages, and
surround yourself with luxury afloat.
Your Beautiful Home Away From Home:
A brand-new classic, the Kathryn B. is a rugged,
ocean-going, steel-hulled 105-foot, three-masted, gaff-rigged topsail
schooner. Her huge sails propel her with grace and swiftness, and when
the winds refuse to cooperate, her powerful engine carries her
comfortably to her next port.
From the day she began taking shape on the architect's
drawing board, your preferences and pleasures have been a primary
concern. That's why most cabins have queen-size berths, writing desks,
and their own private heads with hot shower; why all her cabins and
salon are so comfortable, airy, and bright; and even why the windows in
the deck house have been placed at just the right level for sightseeing.
Come relax on a tufted-velvet settee with a good book.
Take tea on the afterdeck and dine on delicious dishes carefully
prepared using the best local seafood and other fresh ingredients. Study
the stars through an antique spyglass. Sleep soundly beneath soft,
monogrammed sheets in your private stateroom. And revel in a perfect
blending of yesterday’s traditions with today’s comforts.

The Caribbean:
Sail away the winter blahs as we cruise through an
archipelago of romantic tropical islands.
Give in to the steady tradewinds, azure waters, hidden
white-sand beaches, swaying palm trees -- and you may just forget what a
snow shovel is for.
We'll call at bustling harbors where luscious fruit
fills the native markets with rainbow colors, sophisticated resort towns
aglow in an international mix of cultures, and quiet coves where we
won't have to share the beach with anybody else.
There's time to explore the dazzle of shops or sip an
exotic drink, and time for water skiing, snorkeling, or sleepily sunning
on deck. Rendezvous scuba diving can also be arranged.
Maine:
Sail through Maine's spectacular Down East scenery to
tranquil bays, salty fishing villages, and pine-sheathed islands.
We'll take you to seaside resorts made famous by
generations of summer "rusticators," and stop at deserted
islands just right for our old-fashioned Maine lobsterbake with all the
trimmings.
You'll dine on the best Maine foods, including fresh
seafood, garden vegetables, and irresistible desserts baked from scratch
right in the galley.
You needn't feel guilty about any caloric indulges,
either. There are always plenty of opportunities to go hiking or biking
ashore, or to take a spin in the rowing and sailing skiff.
The Chesapeake:
Cruise the Chesapeake's sandy, placid bays where
generations of fishermen have plied their trade in traditional oystering
workboats like skipjacks and bugeyes. Explore wonderful villages on the
Eastern Shore and visit the shops of expert decoy carvers and other
Maryland craftsmen.
Join us for a barbecue at anchor, or a crab and oyster
feast on the beach. Go rowing and sailing in the skiff, or bike down
winding country roads.
On the shoulders of the season, we also invite
passengers to come with us as we wend our way along the Intracoastal
Waterway between Virginia and South Carolina. You'll enjoy widely varied
scenery, a never-ending parade of vessels of all sizes and descriptions,
and ports of call that include both hard-working fishing communities and
polished resorts. There are terrific golf courses along our route, too.
