Villa Pico is located in the town of Sella, Spain in the beautiful
Aitana mountain area near the Costa Blanca beaches.
Sella is a beautiful, authentic village, where the nature is
spectacular. The town is only 18 kilometers from the beach of
Villajoyosa and not more then 25 kilometers from Benidorm. Alicante is
only 40 kilometers away.
While staying at Villa Pico you will have amazing and breathtaking
views of the village.
At Villa Pico we will do everything to make you feel at home. Our
rooms all offer a view over Sella, the mountains and the sea. In the
morning we serve a continental breakfast on our terrace with spectacular
views over the surroundings.
In the afternoon from 2 o’clock on, you can enjoy the food in one
of Sella's restaurants. All day and all night you can get drinks from
our fridge for a reasonable price.
Our terraces and gardens are situated on different levels, so that
every terrace offers great views and privacy.
Guests of Villa Pico can make use of our internet service.
Villa Pico has three rooms for rent, one room with shower and toilet
ensuite and two rooms that share one bathroom. It’s possible to put an
extra bed in all the rooms.
In Villa Pico all the rooms are non-smoking. Animals are not allowed.
Communal Area:
Every morning we serve breakfast in the communal part of the house.
The bread we serve is baked in a traditional wood oven from the village.
On chilly winter evenings our guests can relax at the fireplace, play
a game or simply watch a DVD or Spanish television.
Drinks are available 24 hours a day.
In the garden there is a swimming pool with views to the Puig Campana
as well as the village.
The water is heated by solar panels.
The Views:
The terraces and gardens offer beautiful views of the terraces, that
were started by the Moor some 1000 years ago and the Puig Campana
mountain.
On a clear day you can even spot a ship on the Mediterranean.
About Sella:
Sella is a fantastic place to spend your holiday. It is particularly
interesting for people who engage in walking, biking, hang gliding and
mountaineering.
Because of the mild climate in Sella these sports are practised the
whole year round. As Sella is very near to the coast, it's perfectly
possible to combine your nature holiday with a visit to the beach and
excursions to Villajoyosa, Benidorm, Altea, Albir, Calpe, etc.
Staying at Villa Pico allows you to enjoy this typical Spanish
village with its friendly people and good restaurants along with the
charm of Costa Blanca and its beaches.
Food and Drink:
You can visit one of Sella´s restaurants or bars where you can try
the typical food of this area.
In Villa Pico at request we organize paellas and BBQ´s.
Be A Shepherd For A Day:
Wander around with a flock of 100 goats on rough terrain through the
mountains, go to places where nobody else goes.
Enjoy the view, the silence, the quiet sound of the goat bells.
In the morning and afternoon we take care of the youngest goats in
the stall (they cannot walk with us yet) and eventually we milk the
adult ones. If you want you can give us a hand.
One day we do a heavy walk on rocky and steep terrain, the other day
we take it easy in olive and almond orchards. This depends on what kind
of food the goats need that day.
Shepherd Pepito Flores (58 years old, born and raised in this area)
can tell us a lot about the animals and edible plants and herbs.
Your guide for the day is Olga van Rhijn.
Olga used to be an interior designer in Holland. During a trip
through Spain (sabbatical year) she arrived in Sella in February 2003.
First she was here only for rock climbing but finally she got so
attached at the view over mountains and sea, the climate, the nature
and, most of all, the silence that she decided to stay. Now she
organizes daytrips with the shepherd. She lives together with her dog in
a 26 year old camper-van (Citroën-HY). Olga speaks Spanish, English,
German and Dutch.
If you are interested in being a shepherd for the day, it is
suggested that you some have some walking or hiking experience and have
no extreme fear of heights. You walk at your own risk. Please bring your
own lunch.

Rock Climbing:
The Costa Blanca offers the biggest variety of rock climbing
experiences in Spain, and has the mildest winter climate in Europe!
Climbing courses for guests of Villa Pico are organized by Rock and
Sun.
Sella is the most important and extensive area in the whole Costa
Blanca. There is so much climbing that you could easily spend a whole
weeks holiday here.

Discover Sella:
Discover Sella and its surroundings, visit a 900 years old
watermill in the valley and swim in the river Sella. The tour includes
typical snacks and drinks provided by the miller.
Tour 4 wheel-drive to the cemetery, Font del Alcantara, viewing
point over the mountain area, Refugio (climbers area), Font Major and
Amable´s watermill.
Amable´s watermill is a 900 years old mill was used for flower
until the 1970´s and is still in a very good state. You are invited
by Amable who explains you enthusiastically about the history and the
functioning of the mill. Typical local drinks and snacks are provided
while you can enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this spot. It's
possible to have a swim in the river Sella so bring your bathing
suite.
Nispero Tour:
Join us on a tour to the country on rough roads with our 4 wheel
drive. Drive through the valley of Sella to Guadalest, swim under the
Algar waterfalls, visit the Guadalest Animal Sanctuary. This is the
valley of the nispero.
Daytour with 4 wheel-drive and see spectacular mountain scenery,
Guadalest castle and animal sanctuary, go swimming in the Algar river
and waterfalls and see the Nispero Valley of Callosa.
Safari Tour:
Enjoy this safari and spend some time between elephants, giraffes,
lions, tigers, etc. The animals live here in a spacious natural area.
Tour by car to Safaripark Aitana. You can travel through the park by
car. At 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. the animals are fed. This tour can be
combined with a 'Safari lunch' (not included in the price).

- Follow the signs for Sella
- In the curve entering Sella at the signs 'Font del Arc' and 'Cementeri'
turn right
- Please park your car in the car park on the right
- Walk straight to the church tower and take the street upwards
right, next to the church at the sign 'Ermita Santa Barbara'
- Go right at Carer Cirineo and keep following the street. Mind that
the street takes two turns but does continue. 'Villa Pico' is at no
21.
- We will get your luggage and take it to Villa Pico .
By Plane:
- Airport Alicante
- A rental car can be picked up at the airport. You can also book a
transfer together when you book a room at Villa Pico.
By Bus:
- Many buses arrive in Benidorm. You can book your transfer at Villa
Pico or pick up your rental car here.
How To Arrive:
Villa Pico is situated on top of the village beneath the Ermita Santa
Barbara.
The easiest way to on foot is from the Plaza Mayor. You take the
stairs uphill just left of the church (where you see the sign Ermita
Santa Barbara). The 5th street on your right is Carrer Cirineo, the
street where Villa Pico is situated. Follow this street (it makes a turn
left and then right) till number 21 ´Villa Pico´.

Strände der Costa Blanca liegt Sella.
Sella ist ein sehr schönes einzigartiges kleines Örtchen im
Aitana-Gebirge nahe der Costa Blanca. Die Natur in dieser Gegend ist
spektakulär. Der Strand von Villajoyosa ist nur 18 km entfernt und nach
Benidorm sind es auch nur 25 Kilometer. Alicante liegt ca. 40 km südlich

Nachmittags ab 14 Uhr kann man dann in einem von Sellas Restaurants
gut essen gehen. In unserem Kühlschrank stehen Ihnen Tag und Nacht günstige
Getränke zur Verfügung.
Unsere Terrassen und Gartenabschnitte liegen auf verschiedenen Höhen,
so dass jede Terrasse sehr schöne Ausblicke bietet und unsere Gäste
sich etwas zurückziehen können, um für sich zu sein.
In Villa Pico gibt es drei Zimmer zu mieten, eines davon mit Dusche
und Toilette im Zimmer, die beiden anderen Zimmer teilen sich ein
Badezimmer im Flur. Es ist in allen Zimmern möglich, ein zusätzliches
Bett zuzustellen.
In Villa Pico sind alle Zimmer Nichtraucherzimmer. Haustiere sind
nicht erwünscht.
Jeden Morgen servieren wir im Gemeinschaftsbereich des Hauses Frühstück.
Das Frühstücksbrot stammt aus einem traditionellen Holzofen im Dorf.
An kalten Winterabenden können unsere Gäste am offenen Kamin
relaxen, Gesellschaftsspiele spielen oder einfach nur DVD oder
spanisches Fernsehen schauen.
Getränke stehen jederzeit zur Verfügung.
Im Garten ist ein Swimmingpool von dem aus man sowohl auf den Puig
Campagna als auch auf das Dorf schauen kann.
Das Wasser wird über eine Solaranlage beheizt.
Die Terrasse und der Garten bieten einen wundervollen Ausblick auf
die Terrassen, die von den Mauren vor einigen tausend Jahren angelegt
wurden, und außerdem auf den Berg Puig Campagna.
An klaren Tagen kann man mit etwas Glück sogar Schiffe auf dem
Mittelmeer erspähen.

In het schitterende Aitana gebergte vlakbij de mooiste stranden van
de Costa Blanca ligt Sella. Sella is een typisch Spaans dorp op 18 km
van het strand van VillaJoyosa, 20 km van Benidorm en 40 km van Alicante.
De natuur is er spectaculair.
In onze Bed and Breakfast ´Villa Pico´ in Sella heten we je graag
welkom als onze gast.
Boven in het dorp, uitkijkend over de wijde omgeving ligt Villa Pico.
Wij bieden onze gasten hier een heerlijke vakantie aan.
In Villa Pico ben je thuis. Je logeert in een van onze drie kamers
met uitzicht tot aan zee. 's Ochtends verzorgen wij een uitgebreid
ontbijt.
Vanaf 's middags kun je eten in een van de restaurants in de omgeving.
24 uur per dag kun je consumpties nuttigen in de gemeenschappelijke
ruimte of op het dakterras met uitzicht over de daken van het dorp en de
valleien.
Onze terrassen en tuin liggen op verschillende niveau´s op die
manier kunnen onze gasten altijd wel een plekje vinden dat voldoende
privacy biedt.
Villa Pico heeft 1 kamer met eigen badkamer en 2 kamers die samen een
badkamer delen. Alle kamers zijn groot genoeg voor bijplaatsing van een
extra bed. In Villa Pico zijn alle kamers rookvrij. Huisdieren zijn niet
toegestaan.
Dagelijks serveren we ons ontbijtbuffet in de gemeenschappelijke
ruimte.
Op koele winteravonden kunnen onze gasten relaxen bij het haardvuur
spelletjes spelen en DVD´s of spaanse TV kijken.
Hier staat ook de koelkast met drankvoorraad.
Deze ruimte is net als onze kamers rookvrij tenzij geen bezwaar wordt
gemaakt door de overige gasten.
In onze tuin staat het Zwembad met zicht op de Puig Campana en het
dorp.
Het water wordt verwarmd met zonneënergie.
Het terras en de tuinen bieden een schitterend uitzicht op de ,door
de Moren gebouwde, terrassen in beide valleien en op de Puig Campana.
Bij helder weer zie je de boten voorbijvaren op de Middellandse Zee.
Gasten van Villa Pico kunnen hier gebruik maken van de
internetservice.

Villa Pico en Sella
En el Aitana, cerca de las bonitas playas de la Costa
Blanca, está Sella, un pueblo típico de la sierra levantina a 18 km de
la playa de Villajoyosa, 20 km de Benidorm y 40 km de Alicante.
El entorno de Villa Pico es naturaleza en estado salvaje,
apreciada por todos aquellos amantes del senderismo, la escalada, el
parapente y el ciclismo de montaña. El clima de esta region de España
es tan templado y suave que permite practicar estos deportes todo el año.
Unas vacaciones en Sella son la perfecta combinación
entre naturaleza y tranquilidad, con playas y diversion, asi como la
posibilidad de disfrutar de la gastronomía típica en los buenos

A mediodía podrá comer en cualquiera de los típicos mesones de
Sella. En Villa Pico puede adquirir bebidas y snacks en cualquier
momento del día.
Nuestras terrazas y jardines se encuentran a distintos niveles, cada
terraza con vistas bonitas y su intimidad.
Villa Pico ofrece 3 habitaciones, una tiene baño propio y las otras
2 comparten el otro baño. En cada habitation se puede incluir una
tercera cama.
En las habitaciones de Villa Pico es prohibida fumar. No admitimos
animales.
El desayuno lo servimos en el cuarto común. Ofrecemos el pan de leña
hecho en Sella.
En la cocina se puede comprar bebidas 24 horas al día.
or la noche puede relajarse en frente de la chiminea, hacer un juego,
o simplemente mirar un DVD o la tele.
En el jardín está la piscina con vistas a la Puig Campana y el
pueblo.
El agua se caliente con tres placas solares.
Las terrazas y jardines ofrecen vistas a las terrazas, iniciendas por
los moros, alrededor del pueblo y la Puig Campana.
En un día claro se puede ver un barco pasando por el mediteráneo.
