On a hill above the Alexandra township, Rocky Range Bed and Breakfast
lodge sits in a sea of wild purple thyme where ancient rocks are
scattered like shipwrecks.
Beyond the bed and breakfast, lays a sweeping vista of the surrounding mountain
ranges and river valleys. Such rugged beauty combined with a wonderful
dry continental climate makes Central Otago as inviting as it is unique.
The splendour and serenity of this landscape is equally matched by a
myriad of activities on offer throughout the region, making Rocky Range

Your Hosts:
Your hosts, Lisa and Colin Strang, would enjoy the opportunity to
share the Rocky Range experience with you.
Lisa is originally from the United States, where she spent her early
career travelling the globe, mainly to Africa, the Middle East and South
America. An active outdoor person, Lisa moved to New Zealand seeking
that "kiwi lifestyle." Lisa loves to play golf, mountain bike,
hike and fish. In addition to hosting guests at Rocky Range, Lisa is
contracted to a New Zealand venture capital broker, helping small
companies to raise funds.
Colin was born and raised in Central Otago and spent many years as a
commercial traveller in the region. If you want to know anything about
any back road in the area, Colin is the man to speak to! He is a very
keen golfer and shares Lisa's interest in travelling, tramping, fishing
and cycling. Colin has been a financial advisor in Dunedin for over 30
years and is currently expanding his business into Central Otago.
Lisa and Colin share a love for excellent conversation served up with
a fine glass of wine. They both look forward to seeing you soon at Rocky
Range.
