Mangawhai Lodge takes its inspiration from the
spectacular sea, island and harbour views.
Wide verandas enable alfresco dinning or a quiet haven
to reflect on the day. Complimentary tea/coffee and cookies.
Two guest lounges with a CD system, TV and video, a wide
range of books, recent magazines, and board games.
Five individually designed guest rooms opening to
verandas (King. Twin or Queen)

A sumptuous cooked and continental breakfast is served
in the lounge/dining area or on the adjacent verandas.

From Auckland turn right off State Highway One
approximately 10 minutes north of Wellsford. (following the Twin
Coast Discovery Route)
From north turn left and follow Twin Coast Route South.
From Kaiwaka turn left.
About Mangawhai:
Mangawhai is a charming seaside resort 80 minutes north
of Auckland. The appeal is the white sandy beaches (5 within 15 minutes
drive), sub tropical climate, beautiful walkways, and numerous water
activities. The 18 hole all weather Golf Course brings a regular flow of
visitors and there is a growing number of cafes at the two shopping
centres.
Charter boats offer fishing, diving and coastal sight
seeing trips around the upper islands of the Hauraki Gulf and Bream Bay.
Mangawhai was settled in the 19th century and once
boasted a busy harbour, boat building industry and a thriving Kauri gum
trade. Whilst this trade has ceased much of the colonial charm remains,
the area has a permanent population of 1200 people hidden away in its
environs.
Mangawhai Lodge provides a good base to explore the
