The Arrowtown Lodge provides a comfortable and friendly guest house,
Queenstown / Arrowtown bed and breakfast accommodation at our unique
Arrowtown Lodge.
This home stay accommodation was built in the architectural style of
the old gold mining town of Arrowtown. "Arrowtown - Born Of
Gold".
We are located a 2 - 3 minute walk from Arrowtown's main street,
visit our local community of painters, arts and crafts studios, world
class restaurants.
We are a 20 minute drive from Queenstown and situated at the bottom
of the famous Crown Range and historic Cardrona Valley.
We are also central to the three main snow skiing areas of Cardrona
Ski Area, Coronet Peak and Remarkables ski areas.
Arrowtown is central to the South Island, and allows for many scenic
trips such as Glenorchy, Milford Sound, Fiordland, Doubtful Sound, the
West Coast, Fox and Franz Joseph Glaciers and the Catlins.
So if you are looking for a New Zealand, Queenstown bed and breakfast

Breakfast is served in the conservatory of the main house or on the

after an early settler in the district:

Hiking and Local Activities:
Hike, Walk or Tramp:
In addition to our Lodge we also offer information on day hikes in
the Southern Lakes Region. At our backdoor are some wonderful
wilderness panorama ! We offer over 15 different routes which explore
some of the best scenery in the Southern Lakes District. The walks can
be divided into three different categories ...
Historic Hikes:
These explore the historic gold mining sites of the 1860's when the
area around Arrowtown became the site of one of the most frenzied gold
rushes of the 19th century. Two of these hikes start at Skippers
School House after a spectacular drive through the Skippers Canyon.
Bush and Forest Walks:
These walks are on Department of Conservation trails and provide
access into the World Heritage National Parks as well as some very
pleasant rambles alongside Lake Wakatipu.
Alpine Tramps ( Hikes):
These are available in the summer and autumn only, and take you
above the snow line where the views are fabulous and you can inspect
some of the unique alpine vegetation.
Golfing:
The friendly Arrowtown Golf Course is located on the eastern
boundary of Arrowtown, and the Millbrook Resort is just to the west.
In addition there are another two courses near Queenstown, Frankton
and Kelvin Heights.
Snow Skiing:
Arrowtown Ski Lodge is well located to the four Southern lakes Ski
fields and snow skiing infrastructure. Now that the Crown Range road
has been upgraded it will be much quicker to drive over to Cardrona or
Treble Cone.
Our Lodge is centrally heated and we have good storage facilities
for ski gear. Ski Coronet Peak, the Remarkables, Cardrona Ski Area or
Treble Cone and base yourselves at the Arrowtown Lodge. Experience
snow skiing at its best. Enjoy the restaurants, bars and unique
theatre.

At last count there were over 160 different ways to entertain
visitors to our district, from Bungy Jumping to Wine Tasting Tours,
Jet Boating to Arts and Crafts Trails.
