Mansion Iturbe is an intimate, charming hotel, located in the heart of Patzcuaro, one of the most picturesque towns in Mexico.

Mansion Iturbe was originally the private residence of one of the leading families of Patzcuaro. This 17th century Mansion was the dowry given to Doña Francisca de Iturbe y Anciola (Doña Paca), when she married Don Francisco de Arriaga y Peralta in 1830. Now there descendants have transformed this mansion into a hotel.

Completely restored to its former splendor, the Mansion boasts a beautiful colonial decor combining antiques and Purepechan art. The 14 rooms and suites are individually decorated and furnished with heavy, dark Spanish-style wooden furniture. The majority of the rooms have a private balcony overlooking either Don Vasco Square or Iturbe Street.

Each morning you are greeted with a traditional breakfast. The Doña Paca Cafe is renowned for its regional Michoacan cuisine, its breakfast and its famous cappuccino. Enjoy a light meal at El Portal overlooking Don Vasco Square, discover the Michoacan art at the hotel Gallery, make new friends at the free cocktail hour for our guests and have a nice evening at El Viejo Gaucho with good music and good drinks. Finally, before going to bed, have a cup of tea or coffee at our self-service station.
