Dolphin Cove. This magnificent property has a natural cove which is surrounded by 4 acres of lush tropical rain forest. Visitors can swim with the dolphins, have a dolphin encounter, touch the dolphins or relax on glistening white sand, enjoy the setting or browse for souvenirs at their Gift Shop. Chukka Cove Equestrian Centre offers Horse Back rides for everyone, from beginners to the most experienced. Green Grotto Caves, Discovery Bay. In days of old, these underground caves provided hiding places for pirates and also the Spanish governor who was avoiding the British. The central feature of this natural attraction is the large labyrinthine limestone cave with its numerous rock formations, its stalactites, stalagmites and abundance of overhead ceiling pockets. The Green Grotto Lake is a subterranean lake in the bowels of numerous chambers and light holes.

Prospect Plantation Tour. This working plantation takes visitors by tractor-drawn jitney to view fields of bananas, cassava, sugarcane, coffee, allspice and more. A herb garden is a new addition. Peacocks roam the property. For the more adventurous, there is the option of a horseback tour instead of a jitney tour. Trail bikes tours are a third possibility. How about a round of miniature golf?

Cranbrook Flower Forest. This beautiful park is a must see for anyone who wants to experience the lush beauty of Jamaica away from the crowds. Picnic amidst bird of paradise, croton, ginger, heliconia and begonias. Hike alongside the shady Laughlands’ Great River then uphill to a waterfall paradise.

Firefly. Playwright Noel Coward's historic home near Port Maria. Sit at the famous man's desk and piano. Breath taking "Room with a View" Seville Great House And Heritage Park. Includes a historical site with many artifacts and ruins from the Arawak's, English and Spanish era. Picnic grounds and mini-theatre also available.

Columbus Park. This Park in Discovery Bay marks with cannons and maritime artifacts, the spot where most say Columbus first set foot on Jamaica.

Bicycle Tours:

Blue Mountain Bicycle Tours. These easy tours cruise 18 miles downhill through the Blue Mountains and the tropical rain forest. Tours include brunch, lunch, refreshments and all bike equipment.

High Hope Eco-Tourism Mountain Bicycle Tour. A 5 mile downhill route through the beautiful hills, starting 2,300 feet above sea level. A guide points out the native species seen along the way. Complimentary fruit juices are provided and fruit sampling is encouraged. Recommended for travelers 12 to 60 years old in good health with no physical handicaps. A bicycle helmet and safety lesson are provided.

Hiking Tours:

Blue Mountain Tour offered by Safari Tours. This two-day hike starts with an early morning pick-up from Ocho Rios hotels then heads off into the mountains for a trek in the national park. After a short overnight stay in a log cabin, groups begin the trek to the summit at 2 am, arriving at the top in time for sunrise.

Helicopter Tours:

Helitours. The Jamaican Showcase lasts one hour and goes all the way to Kingston and Port Maria. The Memories of Jamaica tour, a half-hour ride, travels over Noel Coward’s Firefly and Ian Fleming’s Goldeneye. The Ocho Rios Fun Hop, a 15-minute trip, swings over Shaw Park Gardens, Fern Gully, Prospect Plantation and Dunn’s River Falls.

Water Sports:

Sailing Charters. Catamarans, fishing charters, sunset cruises. Also speed boat tours to Cuba.

Deep Sea Fishing Visiting anglers have a chance at landing blue and white marlin, wahoo, tuna and dolphin in deep water which drops to thousands of feet beyond the reefs. Blue marlin is the most-prized big game fish. Catching your first marlin is well within reach.
