Verdetecnica is a newly redecorated old Sicilian farm
house on the south coast of Sicily - Sciacca Terme.
Set on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, Sciacca Terme
is an ancient and peaceful town with its thermal baths and fishing port.
We are ideally situated for visiting the ancient Greek Temples which
include Agrigento, Eraclea, Selinunte and Segesta.
We have converted the farm house into 6 units which
provide:
- lounge
- kitchen
- bathroom
- covered patio
- 1 or 2 bedrooms
- private garden or private terrace
The common garden made out of our nursery of tropical
and exotic plants is in fact a panoramic terrace overlooking a wide
range of mountains on one side and the sea coast for miles away on the
other side.
A relaxing and shady area is equipped with barbecue and
a dining corner. Here you will find chairs, tables, hammocks and a
fountain.
Verdetecnica offers it's self-catering accommodation, in
a family atmosphere, run by my husband (Italian) and myself (French).
We created this opportunity so we can provide you with
the type of holiday that we both prefer... private, quiet, relaxing and
far away from city life.
We live next door and are more than happy to help and
advise.
On arrival, you will find a complimentary bottle of wine
to welcome you. Organic olive oil, fresh eggs, and home made marmalade
(according to season) offered.

The Apartments:
Furnished to very high standards, our quality self
catering accommodation is situated on the hill of Sciacca, at only eight
hundred meters from our town. All the apartments are bright and airy.
They were recently converted from a large old Sicilian farmhouse into
self catering apartments.
All the apartments offer a wide range of modern
appliances including central heating, gas cooker, fridge, TV, hair
dryer, etc.
There is ample parking on site as well as washing
facilities. Bed linen, towels, tea cloths are also provided. Washing up
liquid, washing powder and softener, toilet rolls, etc, are also
provided. Fresh bed linen and towels are supplied weekly. There is
always sufficient extra bed linen available.
This exceptionally well equipped holiday accommodation
is the ideal holiday base at any time of the year, where you are assured
a warm welcome.
The apartments are let out on a weekly basis only in
August, for the rest of the year part time lets are welcome.
Near By:
Within a two-minute drive you will find restaurants,
pubs, banks, supermarkets, post office, hairdressers, cinemas, museum,
churches and other visitor attractions.
Within a ten-minute drive you will reach the finest
beaches (rocks or sand, as you like). There is a bus stop right outside
our nursery.
There is an abundance of good, reasonably priced eating
establishments in the area. These include pizzerias and restaurants.
Anything from the plain and reasonably priced, to the more sophisticated
palate are catered for.

Motorway A 19, dir. Palermo exit Caltanissetta, to
Agrigento-Sciacca.

Dans une pépinière de plantes tropicales, en Sicile.
Sur la côte sud de la Sicile, entre Trapani et
Agrigente, Sciacca Terme est à la fois ville thermale, port de pêche
et de plaisance.
Notre gîte rural se trouve sur une colline qui domine
la ville de Sciacca, à quelques centaines de mètres du centre, dans
une pépinière de plantes tropicales.
Point de départ idéal pour visiter les temples grecs
et les sites archéologiques d'Agrigente, Eraclea Minoa, Sélinonte et Ségeste...
ou pour paresser sur les plages et profiter des cures thermales.
Les propriétaires, Salvatore (Italien) et Pascale (Française)
résident sur le site et seront toujours prêts à vous aider et
conseiller, chaque fois que vous en aurez besoin.
Nos cinq appartements sont dotés de tout le confort
moderne (cuisinière à gaz, réfrigérateur + congélateur,
ventilateurs ou climatiseur, chauffage central, sèche-cheveux - Télévision,
mixeur et four à micro-ondes sur demande) et disposent tous d'un jardin
ou d'une terrassse privée. Lit de bébé disponible.
La bibliothèque de la maison est à votre disposition (livres
en italien, français, anglais et allemand), ainsi que de nombreux jeux
de société.
A l'ombre des oliviers, sur une terrasse panoramique,
fontaine d'eau fraiche, barbecue, hamacs et meubles de jardin.
Balançoire, toboggan, jouets (Duplo, Playmobil)pour vos
jeunes enfants.
Grand parking privé, machine à laver le linge commune.
Le linge de maison est fourni et changé une fois par
semaine, sans supplément.
A votre arrivée, vous trouverez une bouteille de vin,
un demi-litre d'huile d'olive bio, du sel, du sucre, du café, du thé,
du lait et des brioches.
Confiture maison et oeufs frais offerts... jusqu'à épuisement
des stocks.
Vos petits animaux domestiques sont les bienvenus. Baby
sitter sur demande.
A 2 ou 3 minutes de distance, en voiture, supermarchés,
restaurants, bars, banques, bureau de poste, Internet cafés, cinémas,
musées, églises... Les plages, de sable ou de galets, sont à 10
minutes. Arrêt de bus juste devant la pépinière.
Il y a en ville et alentour un grand nombre de
pizzerias, de trattorias et de restaurants, pour toutes les bourses et
tous les palais.
Les appartements sont loués à la semaine en août
uniquement. Location possible, même pour une seule nuit, le reste de
l'année.
Arrivées et départs: Les hôtes sont priés d'arriver
après 14 heures et de quitter l'appartement avant 10h.30, ceci pour
nous laisser le temps de le préparer pour les occupants suivants.
Toutefois, si personne n'a loué votre appartement le jour de votre départ,
vous pourrez naturellement rester plus longtemps. Renseignez-vous!
