Our home has been furnished with style and originality. All the various areas are warm and welcoming. We have customised the bedrooms and the living areas with elements which we have picked up on our own travels, combining them in the name of elegance and style. Sobriety and happiness are both found in the familiar items surrounding you when you stay here.

We offer two large rooms, one of which can be used for as many as four people. The rooms are well-lit (with air-conditioning), quiet and, as with the rest of the house, always spick-and-span, with a touch of freshness and originality. This is why we believe that this bed and breakfast is far preferable to the anonymity of hotels.

Our guests can make use of the luxurious and well-lit lounge to relax, enjoy breakfast, watch satellite TV or, even better, chat away with us about Rome and their impressions on what they have seen and experienced. We will be more than delighted to advise you on what to see and how to get there, as you discover the amazing sights in this wonderful city.

Location:

The position of the "Vale & Vale" Bed and Breakfast in the city is ideal for those who want to visit Rome without having to worry about the transport services. All the most famous places for which Rome is renowned the world over may be reached on foot, a most delightful way to enjoy the city.

In particular, it is truly surprising just how near Saint Peter's you are. In just 10 minutes, you can get to either Saint Peter's Basilica or the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Just beyond, you will run into the majesty of Castel S. Angelo and, just beyond the lovely Angelo bridge, arrive at the Piazza Navona area, crossing through Via del Governo Vecchio, where you will be stunned by the myriad antique shops and stores. Beyond Piazza Navona, you will find the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna and the stunning Via dei Condotti. Alternatively, on the other side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele, you will find Piazza Campo de' Fiori, the Jewish Ghetto, the Capitol and the archaeological wonder of the Imperial Forums, a trip finished off with the splendour of the Coliseum. If you are tired after such a feast of beauty among such wonders, why not travel back in the Metro: the Ottaviano S. Pietro Metro station is just 400 metres from the B&B.

Those who want to enjoy the fascinating spectacle of Rome by night will also be delighted to be able to travel back on foot, at any time without any hassle. Lovers of fine cuisine will find high quality restaurants in all price ranges and night-flies have an embarrassment of riches to choose from.

The "Vale & Vale" Bed and Breakfast provides its guests, free-of-charge, with all the informational material provided by the Rome Tourist Promotion Board and has set up partnerships with service companies who may be of use when you are in Rome or if you are looking for accommodation in B&Bs in other Italian cities.

Shuttle service to and from the airports of Rome. At a small extra cost, you will be picked up from and/or dropped off at the airport (send us an email for more information).

Directions:

By Plane:

From Fiumicino airport, take the train service to Roma Termini train station. Then follow the indications for getting to the B&B by train. However, if there are three or four of you, it might be worth your while to take a taxi or request our shuttle service.

From Ciampino Airport take the shuttle bus to Anagnina Metro Stop. Take the metro and get off at OTTAVIANO S. Pietro Stop. From here is a ten minutes walk to the B&B.

By Train:

From Termini train station, take bus number 70 and get off at the stop before the terminus (Piazzale Clodio) or take the Metro Line A towards "Battistini" and get off at the "Ottaviano San Pietro" stop. From here, it is a ten-minute walk to the Bed and Breakfast. Alternatively, you can take the Metro Line A towards "Battistini", get off at the “Lepanto” stop and take bus number 70. Get off at the stop before the terminus (Piazzale Clodio). Alternatively, you can get the bus number 30 express and get off at the terminus (Piazzale Clodio).

By Car (from North: Florence, Siena, Milano, Venice etc.):

From the A1 motorway, exit at "Roma Nord". After the toll bridge, take the Settebagni exit: you are now on Via Salaria. Continue towards "Roma Centro". After about 15 Km, you will arrive at a large motorway crossing with a road sign on the right: "San Pietro Foro Italico". Keep going: you will pass 2 tunnels and on the left you will see the Olympic Stadium. After you pass the Stadium, keep on the right side of the road: after about 400 metres, you will arrive at Piazzale Clodio. At the end of the square, turn to the left. You are now on Via della Giuliana: the second building on the left is number 72, where you will find the "Vale & Vale" B&B.

By Car (from South: Naples, etc.):

From the motorway A1 exit at Roma Est. After the toll bridge, go straight ahead until you get to the "Tangenziale" Ring road and turn right towards San Pietro Foro Italico. Go straight ahead for about 10 kilometres. You will pass 2 tunnels and on the left you will see the Olympic Stadium. After you pass the Stadium, keep on the right side of the road: after about 400 metres, you will arrive at Piazzale Clodio. At the end of the square, turn to the left. You are now on Via della Giuliana: the second building on the left is number 72, where you will find the "Vale & Vale" B&B.

By Car (from Via Aurelia):

Go straight ahead towards Centro San Pietro until you pass Via Candia (a commercial street with several shops). At the end of Via Candia, turn left into Via Leone IV and go straight ahead into Via della Giuliana (for 400 metres) as far as the second last building before Piazzale Clodio; this is number 72, where you will find the "Vale & Vale" B&B.

La nostra casa è arredata con cura ed originalità. Tutti gli spazi sono accoglienti e caldi. Abbiamo personalizzato le stanze e gli ambienti comuni con elementi raccolti nei nostri viaggi cercando di accostarli con gusto ed attenzione. Sobrietà ed al tempo stesso allegria nelle cose che ci circondano.

Mettiamo a disposizione due ampie stanze di cui una può ospitare anche quattro persone. Le camere sono luminose, silenziose (dotate di aria condizionata), e, in linea con il resto della casa, sempre a punto e pulite, con un tocco di freschezza e originalità. Questo perchè crediamo che il Bed and Breakfast si debba differenziare dall'anonimato degli hotel.

I nostri ospiti possono usufruire del luminoso soggiorno dove rilassarsi, fare colazione, guardare la TV satellitare o meglio scambiare quattro chiacchiere con noi su Roma, le impressioni su quello che hanno visto, o facendosi consigliare su cosa e come vedere tutto quello che c'è da scorpire in questa meravigliosa città.

Ubicazione:

La posizione in città del "Bed and Breakfast Vale & Vale"è perfetta per quanti vogliano visitare Roma senza doversi preoccupare di mezzi di trasporto. Tutti i famossissimi luoghi per cui Roma è conosciuta in tutto il mondo possono essere raggiunti camminando piacevolmente.

In particolare è la vicinanza a S. Pietro a sorprendere. In 10 minuti potrete raggiungere la Basilica come anche i musei Vaticani e la Cappella Sistina. Poco oltre vi imbatterete nella possenza di Castel S. Angelo e, superato il bellissimo ponte dell'Angelo, accedere alla zona di Piazza Navona attraversando Via del Governo Vecchio, restando estasiati dalla miriade di negozi di antiquari. Oltre piazza Navona il Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna con la lussuosissima Via dei Condotti, oppure sull'altro lato di Corso Vittorio Emanuele Piazza Campo de' Fiori, il Ghetto Ebraico, il Campidoglio e l'area archeologica dei Fori Imperiali con a chiudere il Colosseo. Se sarete stanchi dopo una tale immersione tra tante meraviglie potrete anche scegliere di tornare in Metropolitana, la cui stazione Ottaviano S. Pietro è a 400 metri dal B&B.

Anche quanti desiderano godersi l'affascinante spettacolo di Roma by Night troverranno la comodità di poter tornare a qualunque ora a piedi senza alcun problema. Gli amanti della buona cucina troveranno ristoranti per ogni tasca di ottima qualità, e gli amanti del divertimento notturno avranno l'imbarazzo della scelta.

Come Arrivare:

Il "Bed and Breakfast Vale & Vale" è molto facile da raggiungere e da trovare tanto per chi giunge a Roma in aereo o in treno, tanto per chi arriva in macchina. Seguendo le indicazioni riportate, sicuramente non potrete perdervi.

Inoltre, per chi proviene in aereo, abbiamo la possibilità di organizzare un comodo servizio di navetta dagli aeroporti di Fiumicino o Ciampino, al fine di rendere ancora più agevole il vostro primo arrivo.

In aereo:

Dall'aeroporto di Fiumicino prendete il treno diretto (Leonardo Express) per Roma Termini. Dalla Stazione Termini prendete l’autobus 70 scendendo alla fermata precedente a quella del capolinea (Piazzale Clodio) oppure la Metropolitana Linea A direzione "Battistini" e scendete alla fermata "Ottaviano San Pietro" da cui potrete raggiungere il Bed and Breakfast a piedi in 10 minuti oppure prendere la Metropolitana Linea "A" direzione "Battistini" e scendere alla fermata “Lepanto”. Dalla metro prendete l’autobus 70 scendendo alla fermata precedente a quella del capolinea (Piazzale Clodio) oppure l’autobus 30 express scendendo al capolinea (Piazzale Clodio).

In treno:

Dalla Stazione Termini prendete l’autobus 70 scendendo alla fermata precedente a quella del capolinea (Piazzale Clodio) oppure la Metropolitana Linea A direzione "Battistini" e scendete alla fermata "Ottaviano San Pietro" da cui potrete raggiungere il Bed and Breakfast a piedi in 10 minuti oppure prendere la Metropolitana Linea "A" direzione "Battistini" e scendere alla fermata “Lepanto”. Dalla metro prendete l’autobus 70 scendendo alla fermata precedente a quella del capolinea (Piazzale Clodio) oppure l’autobus 30 express scendendo al capolinea (Piazzale Clodio).

In Macchina (da Nord: Firenze, Siena, Milano, Venezia etc.):

Dall'autostrada A1 uscite a Roma Nord, dopo il casello prendete l'uscita Settebagni e sarete sulla Via Salaria. Proseguite in direzione Roma Centro e dopo circa 15 Km troverete un grande svincolo con un cartello stradale sulla destra San Pietro Foro Italico. Andando sempre diritti passerete 2 tunnel e fiancheggerete sulla sinistra lo Stadio Olimpico. Dopo lo Stadio tenete la parte destra della carreggiata e dopo circa 400 metri arriverete a Piazzale Clodio, alla fine della piazza curvate a sinistra, sarete su Via della Giuliana. Il numero 72 è il secondo palazzo a sinistra.

In macchina (da Sud: Napoli, etc.):

Dall'autostrada A1 uscite a Roma Est, e seguite le indicazioni su come arrivare dall’A24 Aquila Roma in direzione "Roma Centro - Tangeziale". Dopo il casello proseguite sempre diritti fino ad incontrare la Tangenziale, girate a destra in direzione San Pietro Foro Italico. Andate diritti, per circa 10 chilometri, passerete 2 tunnel e fiancheggerete sulla sinistra lo Stadio Olimpico. Dopo lo stadio tenete la parte destra della carreggiata e dopo circa 400 metri arriverete a Piazzale Clodio, alla fine della piazza curvate a sinistra, sarete su Via della Giuliana. Il numero 72 è il secondo palazzo a sinistra.

In Macchina (dalla Via Aurelia):

Proseguite sempre diritti in direzione Centro San Pietro fino a percorrere Via Candia (via commerciale con molti negozi). Al termine di Via Candia girate a sinistra per Via Leone IV e proseguite diritti per Via della Giuliana (per 400 metri) fino al penultimo palazzo prima di Piazzale Clodio.
