From atop a quiet hill, B&B Cascina Montonale
faces Lake Garda and provides an astonishingly beautiful view of the
lake.
Our bed and breakfast is an old farmhouse that is romantically
set in a picturesque green landscape. Originally built at the beginning
of the 1800's, our home was restored in 1998.
The area around us is an idyllic land full of
historical interest. Beautiful towns like Verona and Mantova are
easily accessible by the Autostrada.
Lake Garda itself offers many opportunities for boat
trips, water sports, for walks among the hills and for trekking and
climbing in the mountains where you can enjoy many wonderful and
breathtaking views.
Our neighbourhood is rich in tavernas and
restaurants. In addition, the local people are extremely warm and
welcoming.
Cycles are available, parking is free, as is tourist
literature. The large garden is available for the use of the guests too.

About Desenzano del Garda:
Desenzano del Garda, a lovely resort town, is the
main town of Cascina Montonale situated in the southern end of Lake
Garda. Our house is along a quiet road leading to the monumental tower
of San Martino della Battaglia.
Desenzano del Garda dates back to ancient times. The
region has a good climate throughout the year. The moderate climate
makes the town an ideal place for rest and entertainment with its modern
facilities.
In 1569, the town was struck with an interdict by
Pope Pius V, as the citizens had refused their parish to be connected
with S. Salvatore monastery in Brescia. After the Pope's death, that
occurred three years later, the interdiction act lapsed.

Breakfast is served on the patio where the guests can
enjoy remarkable views of the mountains, or if a cool breeze is blowing
we eat in the large warm kitchen.
Paola will be pleased to meet guests' tastes and
their special requirements and she will be glad to provide her homemade
cakes, fresh eggs and local cheeses.
Rooms:
In the guests’ wing on the first floor there are
two comfortable bedrooms, both furnished in rustic style, with TV and a
spacious and modern bathroom.
B&B Cascina Montonale has reserved on the mansard
floor two warm and comfortable beam roofed bedrooms with TV.
One elegant double room with good quality furniture.
A bed bed is available by request.
One big and bright bedroom with three beds and
bookcase furnished comfortably; there is also available a single bed or
baby bed.

We are located on the south side of the Garda Lake.
Arriving By Car:
- Leave the Autostrada A4 by exit Sirmione.
- Turn left for the Torre San Martino della Battaglia (not the
village of San Martino).
- Take the second turn to the right to go up to the tower.
- Turn right at the tower and go down to the bottom of the hill and
go left at the fork where Solferino is sign posted.
- Take the first turning on the right where Montonale-Selve is
signposted.
- Cascina Montonale is 2 kilometers along this road on the right
hand side.
