Set in the peace and quiet of the green hills of Northern Lazio, our farmhouse accommodation offers a splendid panorama of Monte Amiata, is near the wildlife reserve of Monte Ruffeno and the medieval hill town of Torre Alfina, with its landmark castle, and only 5 minutes from the market town of Acquapendente.

Il Tesoro is also within easy reach of many cultural and tourist attractions because of its unique location in a triangle of northeast Lazio bordering Umbria and Tuscany.

Il Tesoro is ideal for families and for those wishing to alternate sightseeing with days of total relaxation.

Our Apartments:

We provide friendly and comfortable family accommodation in a typical stone farmhouse furnished throughout in traditional Italian style.

The farmhouse was restored with the intention of maintaining the ambience of a traditional antique farmhouse. One finds that both in the exterior and the interior have received a faithful restoration.

In addition to the restoration, each apartment is furnished with traditional farmhouse antiques which combines the rustic with the elegant. Each apartment has its own individual character, decorated by your host, Rita Favero, who is an antique and art enthusiast.

There are 3 apartments, which sleep 4, each with kitchen and living room (and double sofa bed), double bedroom, bathroom and TV.

There is also a large communal lounge with TV and open fireplace, for socializing with our other guests.

Facilities:

There is a large garden with swimming pool, traditional wood oven (antique forno) and barbecue, and parking for cars and camper vans.

Go for a walk in the woods on the farm or explore country lanes on a mountain bike (available for hire).

Organic farm produce is available on request. Homemade jams and homemade olive oil is also available.

Nearby there is tennis (5 km) and horse riding (4 km). Ping pong is available on the premises.

• Follow the signs for Castel Viscardo.
• 1 km out of Castel Viscardo, turn right following the signs for Torre Alfina.

• Follow the signs for Castel Viscardo.
• 1 km out of Castel Viscardo, turn right following the signs for Torre Alfina.
• At the next fork follow the signs for Acquapendente.

Via the SS Cassia from Viterbo:

• When you get to Acquapendente, bear right at the fork for Torre Alfina.
• You'll see the sign for Il Tesoro on your right.
