A characteristic dirt road takes you past vineyards and into the woods ending up at Borgo Iesolana which is surrounded by olive grooves, vineyards and fields with a wide panoramic view.

A splendid pool occupies a sunny field of the Borgo, furnished with chairs for reclining and pergolas with table and chairs to protect the clients from the summer sun.

Borgo Iesolana is an old Tuscan hamlet dating back to 1500. Covering over 96 hectares in the Chianti countryside along the old Roman road that once linked Siena with Florence.

Personally managed by its owners, Iesolana Farm produces its own wine, olive oil, honey and grappa which you can taste with: First courses, crostini, selections of Tuscan cheeses and salami in the Wine bar inside the Borgo. In the morning the Wine bar is open for breakfast. Closed on Monday.

The guests in Borgo Iesolana have different possibilities of activities such as; relaxing at the panoramic swimming pool, fishing or relaxing at the lake inside our property, long walks or riding mountain bike, which you can rent in the Borgo, through woods on 30 km of white roads.

We also organize cooking classes with lessons in: Tuscan antipasti, Tuscan "primi piatti", Tuscan soups, Tuscan fresh pasta and Tuscan deserts. Inside the Wine bar a meeting room for events, conventions, and work activities is available.

At the reception you can receive information's about Bucine and the surrounding area: Chianti and the three famous cities of art: Arezzo, Firenze and Siena.

The nearest town of Bucine is 3 km away and is to the southwest of Montevarchi, between Arezzo and Siena. The official vineyards of Chianti begin here and extend to the east, giving visitors ample opportunity to explore the small roads and hill towns of Tuscany. The town of Bucine is small but complete, with a Wednesday morning market. The A1 autostrada is 20 minutes drive away, and Florence is 45 minutes by car. Alternatively, you can take the small roads and wind up and down the charming hill towns of Chianti; Gaiole in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, Greve in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Castelnuovo Berardenga, San Gusmè and so on. Arezzo and the gates of Siena are reachable within 30 minutes.

Food:

Breakfast, dinner and eventual meetings take place in this magnificent room overlooking the pool. Attention to detail is evident also in the organization of activities such as wine tasting, olive oil samplings, cooking lessons, and guided itineraries.

Apartments:

Passing over an old ancient Roman bridge, you follow the road through forest and vineyards before finally arriving at this magnificent location known as Borgo Iesolana. Here you will find fully masterfully restored apartments.

The main house and the dependences have been transformed into apartments respecting the original architecture and material providing elegance and refinement.

The great terra cotta pots filled with flowers accompanies your way to the swimming pool.

The charming pergolas are protecting the guests from the summer sun.

Gli Aarchi:

On the ground floor (80 sqm) suitable for 4 people. It has a lounge with couch, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower. Private terrace with umbrella, table and chairs overlooking the Tuscan hills, pool and restaurant.

I Cipressi:

On the ground floor (98 sqm) suitable for 4 people. It has a lounge, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower. Private covered terrace with table and chairs overlooking the pool and Tuscan hills.

I Lecci:

On the first floor (80 sqm) suitable for 6 people. It has a lounge, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms with tub/shower. Private covered terrace with table and chairs overlooking Lecci and Walnut trees.

Il Belvedere:

On the first floor (98 sqm) suitable for 6 people. It has a large lounge/dining area, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower. Private covered terrace with table and chairs overlooking small quiet garden.

La Tinaia:

On the ground floor (120 sqm) suitable for 8 people. It has a large lounge, a large kitchen (with dishwasher), 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with shower one with tub/ hydro massage. Private covered terrace with table and chairs overlooking the Tuscan hills an sunflower fields.

Wine Bar:

Try our traditional wine bar. Enjoying our wine bar will make your stay even more pleasurable. Our wine bar opens in the afternoon and it allows you the opportunity to taste traditional Tuscan meals linked together with wine produced in Iesolana in a modern and comfortable setting ambience.

Iesolana produces 2 kind of red wine:

Folco:

Sangiovese 95%, Merlot 5%, Aged 12 months in barriques before bottling.

Chianti Iesolana:

Sangiovese 80 %, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%.

A white wine:

Le Ruote:

Trebbiano 60%, Chardonnay 40%.

In Iesolana you can relax by our panoramic swimming pool which commands a view over the valley, whilst nearby is the lake where guests can fish.

You can take a mountain bike through the woods, the vineyards and the olive trees or for a slower pace, you can enjoy a pleasant walk through the same areas.

Cookery courses which allow to discover the typical Tuscan menu are also available.
