The complex "Dolci Colline" evolved from the detailed
restructuring of an old XVI century farmhouse and its adjoining
outbuildings that were once inhabited by the local nursery workers.
The nursery is still active producing a colourful range of various
plants, flowers and trees. The Agritourism has been carefully
restructured maintaining the typical Tuscan tradition, both with the
building and the furniture, but also equipped to provide maximum
comfort.
"Dolci Colline" is in an outstanding position over the
magnificent "Valle di Chio" situated 3 km from Castiglion
Fiorentino and 10 km from Cortona, groves and rolling hills, where it is
possible to enjoy walks (also guided) and to appreciate the picturesque
and unspoilt environment.
The peaceful and secluded surrounding ensure that the complex never
loses the impression of paradise.
There is a swimming pool at the peak of the valley with an optimum
view of Castiglion Fiorentino, a spacious reception room where breakfast
is served. Our reception room is also where our guests are encouraged to
sample our vast array of home produced products such a Tuscan extra
virgin oil, wine, "vin santo", honey and marmalade, all of
which are made with the utmost care.
If desired, our reception room is the perfect environment for
meetings or gatherings, it has room to accommodate a maximum of 60
people.

About Castiglion Fiorentino:
Between 1014 and 1384, the town of Castiglion Fiorentino which is of
Roman origin was known as Castiglione Aretino.
It was in 1384 that Florence took over this Aretine Republic and
hence, it became "Florentino".
Its medieval girdle of walls, dominated by the Cassero fortress,
remains intact. Magnificent mansions, both sacred and secular, dominates
the historic center. Of these mansions, the most notable are the Gothic
church of S. Francesco ("Saint Francis"), the Collegiate
church and the Gesù church, all of them rich in art works of high
value.
In the 16th century, Palazzo Comunale there is a rich library with
paintings, tablets and priceless gold work of the 12th to 15th
centuries.
A short distance beyond the walls is the church of the Consolation
(Renaissance) of octagonal plan.
The town today is still small and hospitable. In Castiglion
Fiorentino you will experience a real Italian experience. There are
though cafés, a post office, shops, incredible gelato and a whole lot
more to see and do.
