If you like the calm of nature as well as the adventure
of a world capital, there is a place hidden behind the old Olympic
Stadium... a house boat village.
In the environment of water, next to the forest of
Amsterdam, you can enjoy country-life. We are also only 20 minutes by
bike from the centre of the city. Bus and tramstops are only a 5-10
minute walk.
The House-Boat Amsterdam offers complete furnished rooms
and apartments, linen and towels are available:
Boat A01 is quite luxurious, with private garden and a
bathroom with whirlpool.
Boat A02, rural and cosy, lays on a pier surrounded by
other boats.
Boat A03 is the large boat. In this boat you will find
a guestroom and a studio.
There are two hosts in the neighbourhood, they will help
you to find your way in the city and with all possible questions.
Smoking on the boats is not allowed.
Boat A01:
This friendly and romantic houseboat is perfect for two.
It consist of a living room, a bedroom, a kitchen (with
microwave), a bathroom with whirlpool and separate shower and a private
garden.
The design uses clean and modern colours arranged with
typically Dutch cosiness.
There is a telephone, two televisions (one in the
bedroom), VCR, radio, CD player, and cassette deck.
You'll also find a headphone, because we are not allowed
to make too much noise in this area. Everyone who lives here is
considerate of another's rest and privacy.
Smoking is not allowed.
Iron, iron board, washing-machine and dryer are present.
Including:
- cleaning every four days
- change of towels and linen twice a week
- your first needs, like coffee, tea, toilet paper,
etc.
Boat A02:
The boat has a rural and cosy character, is simple in
decoration and offers a real pleasant stay. It's suitable for two till
four persons.
You'll find a couch in the living room which can be
turned into a bed (1.40 meters wide) and there is a bedroom with a two
persons bed (1.60 meters wide). There is a little kitchen with a
microwave, a shower and a nice balcony on the water.
Television and CD player are available.
We are not allowed to make much noise in this area. We
ask that everyone who lives here respects the privacy and peace of
others.

Boat A03 Guestroom:
The two persons room on boat A03 has a two-persons bed
with a wash-stand, shower and a furnished little kitchen with microwave.
It has color TV, radio/CD-player and VCR. Toilet is in
the hall and has to be shared. It's small, but very cosy.
We are not allowed to make much noise in this area,
everyone who lives here is expected to respect the privacy and
peacefulness of others.
Smoking is not allowed.

Boat A03 Studio:
The studio consists of a room, kitchenette with
microwave, toilet, bathroom with shower and a balcony on the water.
There are two couches which can be turned into beds (2 x
1.20 meters) and an extra bed. Color TV, stereo-system and VCR are
available.
It has his own entrance, so it is completely separated
from the rest of the boat.
We are not allowed to make much noise in this area. We
ask that everyone respects the peace and quiet of this area.
Smoking is not allowed.

Location:
The houseboats are moored at the edge of the historic
Amsterdamse Bos, or forest. Planted as a make-work project in the 1930's
the trees are now grown to glorious height.
The old south area of Amsterdam dates from the 1920's
when it was designed by early modernist architect Berlage, before the
city hosted in 1928 the Olympic Games.
Now they have renovate the Olympic Stadium, you will
find there now a very trendy grand café and lots of little companies
that have something to do with sports.
