This provençal country house was built 250 years ago. Today, it's a
bed and breakfast with self catering cottages.
Placed in Lorgues en Provence, in the Draguigan area, it's near the
sea but with the peacefulness of the countryside.
Not very far from St Tropez and only 1 hour by car from Nice airport,
this charming bed and breakfast welcomes you with its 4 rooms and 2 self catering
holiday cottages.
As you travel across the charming countryside of Provence, you will
pass through little villages which seems to be clutched onto the hills.
You'll arrive at Lorgues, right in the middle of Côte de Provence.
Lorgues provides you with an authentic Provence experience. This part of
Provence is faithful to her past and history.
Provence is the country of sun, olives, cicadas, vineyards, pine
trees and oaks. A gorgeous driving path of cypress will guide you to the
Bastide. In the shade of horse chestnut trees, the house will reveal its
family heritage.
The Bastide du Pin, fully restored in a historic way, opens itself
while facing south, onto a patio which provides an intimate atmosphere.
There is the pine tree which gives its name to the house. During summer
you can stroll near the waterlily pond or have a rest under the arcade.
Walk down the stone stairs of the terrace and there will be the pool you
can fully enjoy.
During summer, awaken to Provence's rhythm and enjoy your breakfast
as it is served under the arcade. In the off season, your breakfast is
served in the billiard room which is nicely decorated and becomes a very
nice place to enjoy breakfast.

Rosalie:
In loving memory of two adorable grandmothers, this very beautiful
master bedroom (33 square meters) faces south and has a view of Massif
des Maures. This room was decorated with all the tenderness in the
world. Fit for two, its double bed nestling in a flimsy muslin help
enhance the charm of Provence. Its bathroom, in old marble, had a bath
and a independent washroom.
Fanny:
Fanny, a charming character of Marcel Pagnol, lived in a certain
way in the Bastide du Pin. Fanny is also a Parisian fairy who when
visiting here, prefers this typical provençal bedroom. This room is
very fresh even when the sun is burning outside. A small bathroom
decorated with warm colored Salernes' earthenware with shower and
independent washroom.
Hortense:
In the country of cicadas, Hortense is a typical local folk name.
In honour of all Hortense of Provence, we have made for you this
charming lavender blue bedroom with a double bed. It's a romantic and
peaceful shelter. Bathroom with Salernes' earthenware, bath and
independent washroom.
Manon:
In Provence, water is as precious as gold. "Manon des
Sources" protect this place from human covetousness. In the shade
of horse chestnut trees, we imagine her behind the silk curtains,
watched over comings and goings. This room is for 2 persons (twin
beds). Bathroom with shower and washroom.

Le Mazet:
To really experience the Provençale life, "Le
Mazet" (little provençal farm), provides you with the
opportunity to enjoy the rich rural past of Provence. In the doorway
of this abode, you will appreciate a gorgeous view on the Massif des
Maures, as beautiful on a sky blue day as under a starry moonlight
night.
Made for 4 to 6 persons, this house is a 60 square
meter duplex which is full of comfort. On the first floor there are 2
bedrooms, a double bed and a bunk bed. A bathroom with shower and
washroom are also included.
On the ground floor, a kitchen with a 2 electric
stoves, a dish washer, a washing machine and a microwave oven are
available for you to use. The living room has a fire place, a sofa bed
(for 2), dinning table, television and washroom.
Outside, you have access to a private terrace with
a provencale arbour and garden furniture. Guests can also use the
swimming pool.
L'Orangerie:
L'Orangerie is designed to collect the light of Provence. The sun
in Provence is like no other in France. Inspired by the greenhouses
where one protects the orange trees during the winter, we arranged the
Orangerie in a similar way.
Through a large picture window, you can see as far as the
Massif des Maures. The landscape is strikingly beautiful throughout
day. Enjoy the evenings from the comfort of a long chair which will
allow you to admire exceptional the sunsets.
This cottage is a 60 square meter duplex and is suitable for 4 to 6
persons.
On the ground floor there is a big living room with
a sofa bed for 2, dinning table and television. A kitchen with a 2
electric stoves, a dish washer, a fridge, a washing machine and a
microwave oven is also available. This cottage also has a bath room
with shower and independent washroom.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, a double
bed and the other room has 2 single beds.
Outside there is a terrace. The view from the
terrace is spectacular. The Swimming pool is 11 meters x 5 meters and
is available for use by guests.
Lorgues en Provence:
Lorgues en Provence is a pretty village. The picturesque market of
Lorgues is open each Tuesday. It is famous for its veru Provence
character. You'll find there all the regional products and handicrafts.
Around Draguignan there are many medieval villages like Les Arcs,
Flayosc, Tourtour, Villecroze, Aups and many others.
You will be able to visit the abbey of Thoronet dating back from the
twelth century or to go to bathe in the Mediterranean on the beaches of
Aygulf Saint or Raphaël Saint.
Salernes is to 15 kilometers from Lorgues and is universally known
for its terra cotta manufacturing and hand decorating. Along the roads,
you will be able to stop at the many potters to bring back a souvenir.
Lorgues en Provence is located in the heart of the vineyard region of
the Coast of Provence. The vine growers will take you in their cellars
and allow you taste a typical wine.
Lorgues en Provence has more than 1000 years of history. It is a
medieval city which was formerly a place attended by the pilgrims of the
road of Compostelle.
Directions:
La Bastide du pin has a exceptional location. Lorgues is 1 hour from
Marseille, Nice, the beach and les Gorges du Verdon.
Coming From Nice:
- Take the A8 highway. Take the exit n° 36 and follow the direction
of Les Arcs by N7, then Lorgues.
- Then, proceed to Lorgues on D10 and follow directions to Salernes.
- The Bastide is 1 km from the centre of the village.
- 300 meters past the fourth roundabout turn left into Bastide du
pin, just past the sign that you have left Lorgues (the sign with
the red bar across the name Lorgues).
Coming From Marseille:
- Take the A8 highway.
- At 70 km from Aix en Provence, toll of La Barque, take the
direction of Toulon, and take the first exit "Le Cannet des
Maures - Vidauban".
- After the toll, at the roundabout, take in front of you the D17 to
Le Thoroenet.
- Just before the village turn on right, on D17 to Lorgues and
follow always this direction.
- At the roundabout of Lorgues, follow the direction of Salernes, on
your left.
- 300 meters past the third roundabout turn left into Bastide du
pin, just past the sign that you have left Lorgues (the sign with
the red bar across the name Lorgues).
