Welcome... Bienvenue...

Stay in a 19th century chateau restored in the purest traditions of Provence, nestling between the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont Ventoux, discover an elegant and secret Provence...

Set in the cultural and natural heart of the region, you can sit in the grounds in the shade of hundred year old trees, relax and unwind at the poolside or sample the intimate atmosphere of the billiard room.

For our guests we offer three en-suite bedrooms and one suite each offering comfort, tranquillity and authenticity.

You can have your breakfast outside in the shade of a large oak or plane tree, facing the lilly pond situated in the property grounds or, if you prefer, in the large dining room of the château. We will be happy to serve you a selection of regional produce.

We hope we have thought of everything to guarantee you a pleasant break in a superb environment, sheltered from everyday distractions. Please don’t hesitate to give us any suggestions you might have during your stay with us.

Elegantly Secret:

Château Juvenal is both "elegant and secret". If you have a love for Provence, as we do, then you need to discover Château Juvenal.

Château Juvenal is elegant because our park was drawn by a landscape architect at the end of the 19th century who carefully planted majestic trees. The trees now play with the sun all day which would have inspired Renoir. Elegant also because we restored and decorated Château Juvenal with the support with Provençaux professionals.

Château Juvenal has secret qualities because it is found in a small unknown town, very close to the famous Mount Ventoux (home to many stage finishes in the Tour de France), Montmirail and also, we are very close to bigger towns along the Rhône Coasts such as Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes de Venise, Rasteau). We also close to Luberon, Avignon, Orange and de Vaison la Romaine.

Château Juvenal is close to many major tourist attractions, yet here you will find absolute calm which is only interrupted by the songs of the cicadas from mid June to mid August.

Rooms:

All the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with original fittings, recalling memories of past times. All rooms have air conditioning, direct line and satellite TV.

The Raisin (grape) bedroom has a grand, marble shower with jet sprays and original fittings whilst the other bedrooms each have a large, traditional bathtub.

They have been decorated in traditional Provence colours, as we wished to preserve the character and authenticity of the rooms which includes high ceilings, original cornices, plaster work, doors windows and Provence floor tiling.

The Iris Room:

This room has two windows, one facing the sunrise and the other overlooking the spacious grounds of the property. The room, which has a king size double bed, is tastefully decorated in pink and pearl grey tones, suggesting poetry and youth .

The Cerise (Cherry) Room:

This room, decorated in summer fruit colours, has windows overlooking the spacious grounds of the château. It has twin beds, which may be assembled to form a double and an original fireplace dating from the period of Napoléon III. An arched recess leads to the bathroom. In this room you will be able to relax in an atmosphere of old Provence.

The Raisin (grape) Room:

This room has large French windows opening onto the only balcony and overlooks the spacious grounds of the property. It has two single beds, which may be assembled to form a double. There is a large antique mirror hanging over the period fireplace and the bathroom is hidden in alcoves suggesting the large storage spaces of the past. The curtains, patterned with bunches of grapes, reflect the winemaking of the region and the pastel tones of the room help create a relaxing and elegant atmosphere.

The Genêt (wild broom) Suite:

This grand room has three windows facing the spacious grounds of the property and two single beds, which may be assembled to form a double. It also includes an additional single bed. The fireplace made in marble is surmounted by a large antique mirror and bronze chandeliers complement the room. The sheer space of these rooms and quantity of natural sunlight all testify to the fact that you really are in a château, somewhere in Provence. By the way, can you hear the cicadas outside.
