price ranges, a great variety of meals including the local specialty of
foie gras and magret de canard from the ducks reared in this region.
Sort is a little village of the Chalosse area, where
everyday you can find the locals gathered at the bar in the centre. We
go there often to collect our mail from the postman who can always be
found there until 10:30 am! A little fishing lake with a picnic area is
located behind the church.
A typical French village where the inhabitants know how
to live well, with the local products of duck, foie gras, asparagus and
wine!
Fresh Fruit and Vegetables:
The vegetable garden is Jaqui's exclusive domain. Of
British origin (precisely from Devon), she lived 8 years in Spain and
seems to enjoy France for the last 12 years.
Be assured that the best fresh fruit and vegetables are
used in the kitchen! Jaqui makes a fabulous paëlla.
We also have free range eggs from our chickens which are
Christian's department.
Breakfast:
Your continental breakfast consists of orange juice,
coffee, chocolate or tea, homemade preserves, butter, fresh bread and
croissants, yoghurt, cake and fresh fruits.
Breakfast is served according to weather conditions in
the kitchen or the terrace.
Dinner is available upon request and includes a starter,
main course, cheese, dessert, wine and coffee. Menu changes with the
season and Jaqui's imagination.
