Jean and John welcome you to Anglesey House, their
spacious family home in a peaceful cul-de-sac.
The house is surrounded by a delightful cottage style
garden with overnight parking on the drive.
The market town which is a 10 minute walk, has cinemas,
shops, bowling, and restaurants. The station has fast trains to London
and Cambridge. Stansted airport is a few minutes away.
We are inspected by the AA and hold a Welcome Home
Charter. We aim to make your stay enjoyable in a relaxed and friendly
atmosphere.
At Anglesey House you experience home from home
accommodation in a family residence in a secluded tree lined cul-de-sac
on the edge of town. The house is surrounded by a pretty, peaceful
garden which guests are welcome to use.

Breakfast:
Continental breakfast is available from 7 - 9 am.
English breakfast by arrangement between 7:30 and 8.30
am.
We hold a food hygiene certificate from the local
council.
Rooms:
Welcoming, well furnished bedrooms have comfortable
beds, TV, hairdryers, radio alarm clocks and tea/coffee making
facilities.
Guests have their own room and front door key, and may
enjoy our garden in summer.
About Bishop's Stortford:
Bishop's Stortford is an old, small market town with
shops restaurants, cinema, leisure centre and bowling.
Bishop's Stortford dates back to Norman Times. There is
still a grass mound and garden where the castle once stood and a number
of interesting old buildings still survive.
English Heritage and the National Trust have houses
nearby. The nearby pretty Essex villages (Lovejoy Country) and
'Constable' countryside provide delightful days out in a car.
Visitors with a car can enjoy the lovely Essex villages.

Duxfords huge air museum with its new American plane
hanger is 10 miles away. Duxford, the world renowned air museum,
contains a wealth of memorabilia and airplanes makes a fun day out.
Nearby are pleasant rural walks. A few hundred yards
away is Bishop's Stortford cricket field and tennis club.
London and Cambridge are 30 minutes away by fast train.
In addition, nearby is London Stansted airport, with its many cheap
European and Ireland flights.
Directions:
- From M11 take A 120 to Hertford.
- Follow signs to Hertford (ignore B/S sign) and keep
straight on at the first two roundabouts and turn left at the third
(B/S West A 1250). This is about ¾ miles in all around northern by
pass.
- After a few hundred yards fork left after passing
the rugby club into Cricketfield Lane.
- Grailands is the second turn on the right.
- Number 16 is nearly to the end on the right hand
side.

For longer stays we have self-contained holiday
accommodation in ground floor one bedroom apartments in the centre of
town.
Our ground floor one bedroom apartments are near the
town and station of Bishop's Stortford, 2 miles from Stansted airport.
The one bedroom apartments centrally situated in Bishop's
Stortford are fully furnished to tourist board standards. Your sign of
good quality comfortable accommodation.
Each apartment has lounge/diner with TV, twin bedroom,
bathroom with bath and shower, and fully equipped kitchen with full
cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, iron, toaster, etc.
Sleeps from 2 - 4 comfortably.
Lounges, with matching décor, have TV's, dining table
and chairs and comfortable seating for 4 - 5. Patio/seating area to
rear.
