Hilly and Andy Mills promise a friendly welcome to this attractive cottage.

Accommodation consists of 3 bedrooms for bed & breakfast, in a peaceful location with a large garden away from the road.

It has the advantage of being only 5 minutes walk from the town centre, bus stops, shops and more than 20 restaurants.

Stansted Airport entrance and the M11 are only about 2 miles away. The railway station is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the cottage, with regular fast trains to London and Cambridge.

The accommodation consists of two rooms with double beds and an adjacent twin room with two full length bunk beds, sharing an adjoining bathroom for guest's use only. An additional put-u-up bed can be provided in one of the double rooms. All rooms have central heating, television, tea and coffee making facilities, fans and hairdryers. Guests are asked not to smoke in the house.

Check in time from 4.00 pm and check out by 10.00 am (or by arrangement for guests travelling through Stansted Airport).

Full English or light breakfasts are included and are available between 7.30 am and 9.00 am. Vegetarians are catered for. All eggs are home produce free range.

Car parking and transport to the airport are provide for a small nominal fee. Please ask if one or both of these services are required.

Directions:

Acer Cottage is close to the centre of Bishop's Stortford. The easiest way to find out how to get to us is to select below the direction you will be approaching Bishop's Stortford.

From Stansted Airport:

• At the airport follow signs for "Way Out" and "M11".
• Then signs for Cambridge and B Stortford A120, then B Stortford A1250.
• Follow A1250 to Bishop's Stortford (B.Stortford) and Town Centre.
• Once in Bishop's Stortford continue on A1250 heading towards Hertford.
• Just before the Bricklayers Arms pub turn left at the mini roundabout up Bells Hill.
• At the mini roundabout at the top, take the 2nd exit, almost straight over.
• After 20 yards (20 metres), just before the "School" sign on the road, turn left down the first drive roundabout.
• No 17 is the 2nd house on the right behind No 19.
• Park in front of the house. Entrance is through the gate into the garden.

From M11:

• Leave the M11 at Junction 8 signposted Bishops Stortford (B Stortford). When coming from the South (M25) take the first exit at Junction 8, do not take the 2nd to Stansted Airport.
• Follow A1250 to Bishop's Stortford (B Stortford).
• Once in Bishop's Stortford continue on A1250 heading towards Hertford.

• Turn on to A120, signposted Stansted Airport, and follow road for about 6 miles passing through the traffic lights at Little Hadham.
• At the first large roundabout by Tesco's take the 2nd exit onto the A1250, signposted Bishop's Stortford.
• Continue on A1250 until you get to the Bricklayers Arms pub and turn right at the mini roundabout up Bells Hill.
• At the mini roundabout at the top, take the 2nd exit, almost straight over.

From Bishop's Stortford Station:

• Bishops Stortford is on the London Liverpool St to Stansted and Cambridge lines, and is before Stansted when coming from London.
• It is about 15 minutes walk or a small fee by taxi to Acer Cottage, 17,Windhill.
• On leaving the station turn left at the Falcon pub, keep in left hand lane, turn right at the traffic lights at Motor World and go through the main street.
• At the traffic lights by the George Hotel turn left up the High St which turns into Windhill.
• At the mini roundabout at the top turn left.
• After 20 yards (20 metres), just before the "School" sign on the road, turn left down the first drive roundabout.
• No 17 is the 2nd house on the right behind No 19.
• Park in front of the house. Entrance is through the gate into the garden.
