Salmon:
Love to fish?
The salmon run August to September. Anyone who has never seen this
incredible spectacle should definitely come to see the sure splendour of
watching salmon spawn.
In their brilliant colours, the salmon end their journey here after
having travelled thousands of kilometers in the ocean only to travel
even further up rivers to arrive back at their original spawning ground.
You can watch the salmon jumping at Bailey's Chute in the Trophy
Mountain park. Thousands of these salmon struggle upstream to spawn at
their place of birth while the majestic Eagles circle overhead to catch
their daily meal.
Additional Activities:
Ray's Farm and Mineral Spring is a delight to explore on a hot day or
you can go whitewater rafting down the Clearwater River.
