Our modern and new home is in a quiet subdivision.

Your hostess' love of gardening is evident in her country garden, which has an abundance of wildflowers, and extensive flower beds. There is a picnic table for you to enjoy the outdoors, with a fishpond helping to keep the air nice and cool on a hot summer's day.

If you would like to catch the evening sun, there is a large front porch with table and chairs. Enjoy a coffee and the fantastic Clearwater sunset.

A large, cozy country kitchen has 3 skylights and a sliding door to the backyard. It can accommodate up to 10 people at a time.

During the off season - consider staying with us as a group. The privacy of an entire level to yourselves as well as tasty breakfasts and suppers provides an excellent for gathering. Whether you are interested in books, spiritual ideas, photography or just a few days away, we would love to host your get together. Breakfast:

We look forward to serving you one of our breakfast selections from our menu as well as fresh fruits in season daily.

For your convenience, your hostess offers a menu of:

  • Waffles
  • Bacon & Eggs
  • Pancakes or cereal
  • Fresh fruits, juices, homemade breads and jams
  • Coffee, herbal or regular tea, ice tea, apple cider, milk and hot or cold chocolate.

Rooms:

The three bedrooms downstairs have a private entrance and are nice and cool in the summer months for sleeping.

The downstairs bedrooms share a large bathroom with a tub and shower. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and the other have queen and twin beds.

Also downstairs is a lounge with TV/VCR, bar fridge, games table and chairs; and a phone for your convenience.

The bedroom with a private ensuite bath is upstairs on the main level and has a view to the backyard. The large, bright bathroom has a skylight.

Wells Gray Park Provincial Park:

In addition, we are just minutes from the information center and entrance to Spectacular Wells Gray Park with its many waterfalls. Wells Gray park boasts a snow cone in the winter that is unsurpassed anywhere.

Wells Gray Park is north of Highway 5 and is like a Mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. There are many great parks in British Columbia and Wells Gray is definitely one of the best.

At Wells Gray you get exceptional views of breathtaking scenery, particularly with regard to water. Throughout the park you will find five large and spectacular lakes, two river systems, numerous streams and waterways and of course, too many waterfalls to count.

Don't be surprised if you see beaver, moose, coyotes, skunk, deer and every other animal Canada is famous for.

At Wells Gray, you will also find extinct volcanoes and lava beds that recall the area's ancient past.

For those that like nature, outdoors and parks, please note that Spahats Creek Provincial Park is but a short distance away too.

Come see for yourself!

Salmon:

Love to fish?

The salmon run August to September. Anyone who has never seen this incredible spectacle should definitely come to see the sure splendour of watching salmon spawn.

In their brilliant colours, the salmon end their journey here after having travelled thousands of kilometers in the ocean only to travel even further up rivers to arrive back at their original spawning ground.

You can watch the salmon jumping at Bailey's Chute in the Trophy Mountain park. Thousands of these salmon struggle upstream to spawn at their place of birth while the majestic Eagles circle overhead to catch their daily meal.

Additional Activities:

Ray's Farm and Mineral Spring is a delight to explore on a hot day or you can go whitewater rafting down the Clearwater River.

Winter family fun includes downhill and cross country skiing, dog sledding, snowshoeing and 120 km of groomed snowmobile trails with warming huts.

Dutch Lake is nearby and is a wonderful place for swimming and boating. You can also canoe, paddle and rowboat in Dutch Lake.

For those who love the great outdoors, you will be happy to know that we have hut to hut hiking, skiing, and canoeing.

You can also get a view of bears, including Grizzlies in the Trophy and Raft Mountains. You can also hike to Flower Meadows in the Trophy Mountain in mid August.

Clearwater offers the pristine beauty of Wells Gray Park with its many hiking trails as well as waterfalls and rivers and lakes. Enjoy swimming, fishing, white water rafting, or cruising down the Clearwater River.

Hike the Trophy Mountains in August and be surrounded by wild flowers and snow peaked mountains.

About Clearwater:
